...odd. my comment isn't here. oh well. xD I've read A Curse Dark as Gold. I really liked. way good book. xDooh! kinda like in the Incredibles Lesli?
Weather's cool, mind reading's cool, shapeshifting's cool.........I wouldn't know what to pick. Super speed maybe?
I've read A Curse Dark As Gold. I read it in like one sitting without reading ahead and then emailed the author and got a lovely reply back. :-)
adfkla;sdjfkald. so i'm not the only one who leaves the computer! u know, some people i know on here seem to be on 24/7....i forget, has anyone read A Curse As Dark As Gold? i think one of u did.....
yeah, i wasn't on this weekend till today because i spent the night at my g'ma's appt, and then i spent part of saturday with my older sis who is in college.
lolz. I haven't been on as much either. though maybe I have... My time is way messed up. What's happening to my mind?!?!?!?!? gah! sorry. xD
ok ok, i won't tell. it was ingenious is all i can say. that doesn't give anything away, does it?and hiiiii again! i haven't been on a while because i'm busy during the week! i only get on sundays from now on for the most part. :( did anyone miss me???

i personally thought Daniel X was pretty good. he didn't really make a strong character though, and Daniel's imaginary friends... i just didn't get that. i couldn't really fall in love with him like i do with max. although it was brilliant how Daniel killed what'shisface. the bad guy. can i say how he died? would that spoil it for anyone?
lolz. when you read it, tell me if it's good. xD I couldn't get into it, but if it ends up being good, tell me. xD
haven't read Daniel X, but might soon because my library has is. so, once i finish the 15 or so books i have out now i might move on to it. lol
here's the order Aria: 1st The Angel Experiment, 2nd School's Out - Forever, 3rd Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports, 4th The Final Warning, 5th Max, and now 6th Fang.I never got into The Dangerous Days of Daniel X.
wasn't The Final Warning the 6th bk....? so wouldn't that make the next one, Fang, be the 7th? and no, i'm not counting magna....i think i read one of them. but i forget which.
i only read MR for the most part. the adult ones weren't as interesting as max's story.
madison, sorry, i know that he's not REALLY a slow writer - just seems that way to me sometimes because i'm impatient about his next MR book coming, since i don't read his others it seems like a long wait.
anyone read Dangerous Days of Daniel X?
it's his 6th. crap. now I have to tell my friend she was right. I didn't think there'd be another one. oh well! I love those books. xD though he seriously is running out of ideas. have you guys read When the Wind Blows and The Lake House? The Maximum Ride books are based on them. The MR books are most def better, but I was just wondering. xD
James Patterson, a slow writer?Um...he just signed like a thirteen-book deal that's taking him up to like 2012 or something like that. It's like a ridiculous amount of books in a ridiculous short time. Granted, he does work with ghostwriters for many things.
But just keep in mind that Maximum Ride isn't the only series he's working on. Also, publishing is a slow business; it can take up to (and over!) a year before a book appears in bookstores. Count in the time it takes to WRITE the book and you're looking at a long time.
I KNOW!!!! EEEEEE, ANOTHER LOVER OF MR!!!i can't wait till his, what, 7th book comes out. Fang: a Maximum Ride novel.
omgoodness, i just got goosebumps.
i hate how slow a writer JP is, though. the next bk is coming out in 2010. :(
the Maximum Ride books are absolutely fantastic! i'm already on the 3rd book. i just race through them- i can't wait to learn what happens next! lol
i know. some of the stories are awesome, great style and all, but they don't keep the characters as theirselves. they change too much or make it too unrealistic. most of them are pretty good though, i've found. some of the writers on fanfic are amazing, but it's kinda sad to read fanfic cuz u know that their brilliant plot/story line came from JP's Maximum Ride or wherever.what's it about?
lolz. that would be cool. I tend to read fanfic every once in a while. though I do tend to find things inconsistent from the books and that bugs. one reason I only read fanfic every once in a while. xDHonestly the only non-boring non-fiction I can think of right now is A Child Called "It" One Child's Courage to Survive. a very sad book. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone under 14 or 15 minimum. though it is good, as in a good lesson... idk.
non-fiction can be good, i agree with naomi. but i've found that most of them i've read have been pretty boring. does anyone have any NON boring non-fiction books???i'd LOVE to post on fanfic, but i haven't been able to join. mom said maybe around christmas. dad said i had too many sites (NOT TRUE) i was on anyway.
but i'm working on them. i know people who are on fanfic, so i really want to join!
Non-fiction can be good, you just have to get the right ones. for instace I love history. though I prefer historic-fiction for reading. xD
Thanks Aria! I'll look into it. do you post on fanfic?

I feel the same way! Non-fiction is sooo boring... I like how you can use ur imagination in fictiona dn it feels like ur in a dif. world when ur reading!
hey, give writing a shot/shoot! seriously! it's fun!the link is: theworstending.com
if you're looking for stuff by me on above site, just read anything under the name Empathy or Em or Emia. :D
lol. s'kay.i think most people who read a lot end up giving a shot/shoot at writing. also, if you have a lot of friends who do, like me, you tend to write as well. writing's fun. but i think that some people just aren't cut out to writing at the same time.......
i post stories on a diff site. if you want, i can put the link here. XD
I don't write. xD though I've been starting to get ideas, so I might start. ...idk. xD and I don't friend people I don't actually know. sorry!
*shakes head* i've only posted one poem on goodreads. i haven't gotten time to read over that story yet. i've been so busy. do you post stuff on goodreads, naomi??? xD
Welcome Jaime! Um, to posting... um, on the group! xDAria, that sounds cool! Do you post your stories on goodreads?
i'm actually trying to write a book about a girl with the power of water. i'm not sure i'll continue it, though......
Oh I love historical fiction and fantasy!(BTW I've been part of the Shannon Hale Fan Club for a while, but I just started posting :D)
yeah sometimes i'll read non fiction but historical fiction is something i like better. i sort of am a history freak. but not if it's out of a textbook because i already know that stuff bet reading histroical fiction even when the people aren't real it's like going into the past.
lol. the only nonfiction books i read are (occasionally) (auto)biographies. thats thew only time. and i'll read a historical fiction book- for example: The Royal Diaries series. its kind of like the dear america books, but the main characters are famous princesses in history like Elizabeth I, Cleopatra, Marie Antoinette, ect. (i never really could get into the dear america books for some reason)
It's okay. It's partly my fault; I'm VERY logical and be can VERY technical, so when you say "we already know all the things in nonfiction boks they are history"...I'll probably take it literally rather than reading it as just a casual generalization.I tend to prefer reading fiction because I like stories, and I want emotions, not theories. If I'm reading historical fiction, I like detailed author's notes explaining what is true and what isn't. I like books to be as true as possible, even if they're fantasy. That way, I don't have to read nonfiction. :P
