*singing*'Tis the season to be morbid... fa la la la la!!
I've been a bad boy lately guys... I haven't started reading A Christmas Carol and Other Christmas Writings yet. But I'm getting the grips on The Dead Zone recently and, man, the book's better than the film.
This is my first foray into Sai King enormous body of horror...
Wish me luck that I'll come out unscathed and un-cursed when I'm through with it...
'Till then...
Creepy cheers to y'all!

I gave it 5 stars Beng. Here's my short review: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/95617...
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens..lets discuss the book and the movie..
What do you think is the Moral Lesson in it and want do you think is the point of view of the author?..

I already started on "Shadow of the Wind" two nights ago. I'm having fun reading it. It's fun hearing the old Spanish accent through Daniel in my head, feels like I'm home again.

The truth was I'm also reading The Girl Who Played with Fire (aside from our current group read) which was pretty slow for me. I really thought this sequel will surpass it's predecessor, but it failed. It was like a tele-series and the sex stuffs were wayyyy overboard, maybe it was just me. And I am too much of a coward to tell the other group how I thought about it since they are so enthusiastic and has high hopes for this book. Shall I tell?

Marco wrote: "I am legend doesn't take more than 2 days to read. :P that's another thing that annoyed me."In that case, you better stay away from James Patterson's books. It'll probably just take 2 hours to read. Ehehehe

Now, I'm gettin' envy... perhaps I'll read mine next month... If I'm through reading I am Legend, that is...
I am reading the Lamb by Christopher Moore. After all the disheartening events we are going through, I need something to smile about.

finish reading "World War Z". big zombie fan eto...currently i'm reading "The Hero with a thousand Faces" by Joseph Campbell. recommened by my friend while nasa "Penguin" kama, Blues-Reggae bar sa Ermita. who told me about the Hero's Journey, how the hero goes to a great quest. he pose a question --"who's the hero? " and "what is the journey?" -- this book became the inspiration for Star Wars ni George Lucas.

It was really fun to read. Glad you nominated it.
I'll be hunting for the sequel, as soon as I get home.

I'm on a different rudder, guys...I'm reading more of Ken Follett...
Will start the long and daunting Pillars of the Earth... after I have made a review of the Eye of the Needle...
Currently reading Carmilla by Le Fanu. One of the best vampire stories I've ever read, and I'd probably be done with it if I wasn't struggling with the PDF. Anyway, I wish Tim Burton would do a movie version of this book. I bet it would be visually stunning. I've also just finished "Snow, Apples and Glass" by Neil Gaiman. It's a short retelling of Snow White from the Queen's point of view. And, oh, Snow White is a vampire. Ehehehehe

Almost done with Chocolat.

Hi Marco...It okay so far...some chapters are slow, others are fun to read...I love it when Emma has a conversation with Mr. Knightley (these seem to be my favorite parts so far)
When I tell Brits that I'm from the Philippines, some people say, isn't that mountains? :PETA: And they don't even know that I've never seen the countryside before haha
jzhunagev wrote: "ganoon na lang ba lagi ang tigngin ng mga foreigners sa atin... mga servant....??? ba't ba lagi pag me appearance ang mga Pinoy may it be film or in a novel laging ang arrive natin tsimay...

Honestly, I don't really mind if foriegners associate Filipinos with servants.. It's sad but I refuse to let that define me. People will always have their misconceptions, after all, and I think the best way to overcome that would be by showing them that I'm more than just that.
I get annoyed though when intentionally try to put us down just because we're known for our domestic helpers. That's just spiteful and naiinis ako pag ganun. ehehehe
Now that you said it I think I'll ba able to meet the task... Kahit mga family members namin yan ang sinasabi...yaan mo pag naka-conceive na ko ng magandang plot I'll publish it as an online novel... kasi baka walang maging publisher ito ehh...
nyehehehe... ^_^
