426768 Ok, I have GOTTA go for this one. :o) Wildwood I know, I Know--that's exactly the word--but its a good book.

Um, how about Mushroom. And yes, I do have a book (well, several actually) in mind for this one.

message 106: by Jayme (new)

2814128 the gone-away world by Nick Hartaway

OOOHHH I have particular book in mind for this one

Wildwood

message 105: by Ann (new)

426768 Bone CrossedBone Idle

lol, loved BOTH of those books

ok, I'm going to go for a title to a book that I LOVED as a kid, that I then read to my daughter and my grandsons. Well, its PART of the title. :o)

Gone-away

And I'm going to be gone for about 10 days, so won't be on to check this for more title searches. :o) Well, except maybe when we are in a hotel. Sigh, my Mum has NO internet and the people around her that DO have it have (shuddering at the Stone Age mentality) have DIAL UP.

message 103: by Ann (new)

426768 a Pard is a leopard like animal on Witch World. Not sure what the Jargoon is, but I THINK its some kind of fancy jewelry work. But it COULD be the shapeshifter belt that the main character wears.

oohh, Silver is REALLY easy. Silver May Tarnish--that's TWO Nortons in a row. :o)

ok, lets go for something REALLY easy--blood.

message 102: by Jayme (new)

2814128
The Jargoon Pard
by Andre Norton

What on earth is a pard?

ok...how about "silver"?

message 101: by Ann (new)

426768 lol, very good Christy--that was even the book I was thinking of. :o)

The Faggiest Vampire Um, ok, now, that is a weird looking book. :o)

How about Pard

message 99: by Ann (new)

426768 nice one Krista--I'd actually been thinking of The Warlock Enraged

Hypersonic Thunder A Novel of the Jet Age I'm going with that one in memory of my Father-in-law. He was in the Army Air Corps during WWII (what is now the USAF) and he'd have LOVED this series if he were still alive.

How about Whisper for our next title. (and yes, I do have a title in mind)

message 98: by Krista (last edited Oct 04, 2009 05:01PM) (new)

Nophoto-f-25x33 Enraged:One Man's Journey to Freedom by Linda York Fisher

Next word - Jet

message 97: by Ann (last edited Oct 04, 2009 12:59PM) (new)

426768 Ok, I'm going to go for the old classic James and the Giant Peach

Next word--enraged

message 96: by Melodie (new)

1199857 What about Atlantis?

Hearts in Atlantis by Stephen King

a book with "peaches" in the title

message 95: by Ann (new)

426768 Ok, NOT PN, but its in one of my OTHER favourite categories--MYSTERY. BONE IDLE

What about Atlantis? I know, another easy one, but I have SUCH a sinus headache. . .

message 94: by Jael, The Restorer (new)

1157941 Raven's Gate byAnthony Horowitz don't know if that was the one you have in mind

Ok going with Idle

message 93: by Ann (new)

426768 nice one Elvia--the book I'd had in mind was The Crossroads of Time. I do LOVE my Nortons. :o)

Ok, for this one I'm going to go with that hoary old chestnut Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex but Were Afraid to Ask.

Next word Raven and again, I do have a book in mind. :o)

message 92: by Elvia (new)

2241602 LMAO I believe that was the book I found with Perforated, yes! :)
Crossroads of Twilight???

hmmm....how about "everything"

message 91: by Ann (last edited Sep 12, 2009 11:40AM) (new)

426768 Ok, I'm kind of thinking you don't want a book on embroidery or beading (both are done on plastic and/or paper that has been perforated) The only other thing I can find is Perforated Heart A Novel.

How about crossroads for the new word? And I have a book in mind for it. :o)

message 90: by Ann (new)

426768 yep Elvia--that's it. I LOVED that series. :o)

Perforated oh boy--time to do some serious research (and I'm assuming you don't want any AMA's quoted, yes?) :o)

message 89: by Elvia (new)

2241602 The Secular Wizard ????

the only one I found without religion!

How about.... "Perforated"

message 88: by Ann (new)

426768 hey, we are TRYING Jael. :o) Oh--and the book I have in mind for the word SECULAR is NOT a book on religion.

message 87: by Jael, The Restorer (new)

1157941 You guys are really making these hard.Lol I have to do research. :)

message 86: by Ann (new)

426768 lol, the book I'd had in mind was Christopher Stasheff's King Kobold Revived Hum, looks like yet ANOTHER book I need to get a photograph of the cover for.

how about Vacuum Diagrams? I really didn't like the poli sci book or the one on vacuums or the one on vacuum tubes. :o) This one looks interesting. Its a collection of short stories that, unfortunately my library doesn't have.

Um, ok, gotta think for a few on this :o) oohhh, how about secular. and again I have a book in mind for it. :o)

message 85: by Jael, The Restorer (new)

1157941 The Rose Revived byKatie Fforde

book with vaccuum in the title

message 84: by Ann (new)

426768 No, the book I'd had in mind was The Last Templar A Knights Templar Mystery. Its a mystery, but I really enjoyed it. I read a couple of others in the series, but haven't read more than like 3 or 4 of them.

Trick of the Light A Trickster Novel

lol, how about um, Revived. (and yes, I do have a particular title in mine)

message 83: by Elvia (new)

2241602 Fall Of The Templar

Although some of the other books I found sound really good.
But I'm sure this wasn't your book, right?

How about "trick"

message 82: by Elvia (new)

2241602 EXACTLY the one I saw and put on my to-read list!!! lmao

message 81: by Ann (last edited Sep 04, 2009 09:39AM) (new)

426768 lol Elvia--the book that I'd had in mind for Prayer is Night Prayers A Vampire Novel, see, can have a religious slant on the title, but NOT be religious. :o)

oh boy--that one is going to take some mega research. (starting muzac going while searching titles) lol, I found this on Amazon and have decided that I have GOT to order it, just for the title The Four Bubbas of the Apocalypse Flatulence, Halitosis, Incest, and... Ned

ok, after THAT masterpiece (and my brain coming out my ears from the stupid muzac--sorry, hubby was bugging me about some weird radio station that HE found funny) what to use for the NEXT title word????

Ok, how about Templar? And yes, again, I have an idea for the title.

message 80: by Elvia (new)

2241602 LOL I knew it would be easy but I was thinking of the semi-fairy tale The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty. A great WTF book. lol (I was never a horse person haha)

Prayers for the Dead - not a big reader of books with religious tones but this one looks good.

Let's go with Flatulence :)

message 79: by Ann (new)

426768 Beauty is too easy Elvia. Black Beauty Sorry, but along with probably 85% of young females, I DID go through my "horse mad" phase when I was about 13 or so. I wanted SSOOOOO badly to be able to go to Austria and become a rider for the Spanish Riding School. Unfortunately, they didn't take girls at that time. I don't know if they do now, but since things a MUCH loser now, maybe they do. My second choice for a job at that age was as an astronaut. But again, no female astronauts until I was too old to get the schooling out of the way and join the Space Program. I've always been seriously jealous of Sally Ride because SHE got to go into space.

Ok, next title needs to have Prayers in the title

message 77: by Monica (new)

2644607 Secondhand Spirits: A Witchcraft Mystery by Juliet Blackwell
actually I want to check out that series, has gotten good reviews.
ok, how about a book with Lamentable in the title.

message 76: by Melodie (last edited Sep 03, 2009 07:15AM) (new)

1199857 Ann wrote: "OOHHH--good one Melodie. Dragons of the Hourglass Mage My family are big fans of Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman

That's not the one I was thinking of, but it's probably a good one. I was thinking of Bearing an Hourglass by Piers Anthony. It's from his Incarnations of Immortality series, which is a favorite series of mine.

message 75: by Ann (new)

426768 OOHHH--good one Melodie. Dragons of the Hourglass Mage My family are big fans of Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman

Ok, next word. Secondhand--and yes I do have a book in mind for this. (The one I'm reading as soon as I finish
Must Love Hellhounds

message 74: by Melodie (new)

1199857 The word for the day is--Kitty (and please, no cat books.) :oP

Kitty and the Midnight Hour

a book with "hourglass" in the title (and yes, I have a book in mind!)

message 73: by Ann (new)

426768 well, that's the correct series anyway Elvia. :o) The actual book I'd had in mind was the 3rd in the series--Blackcollar: The Judas Solution. I have waited for almost a DECADE for Timothy Zahn to get off his duff and get that series finished.

And the only eventual I can think of is Everything's Eventual 14 Dark Tales And I'm not even much of a King fan (first one I tried reading was Christine and I just could NOT get into it.)

Um, ok, let's go for an easy one this time. I'm feeling lazy. :o) The word for the day is--Kitty (and please, no cat books.) :oP

message 72: by Elvia (last edited Sep 02, 2009 08:11AM) (new)

2241602 OH my...I may have to start that series!

"...Blackcollar Omnibus??
I found NOTHING ELSE. lol

How about "eventual

message 71: by Ann (new)

426768 The Further Adventures of Sherlock Holmes

(Holmes fan, what can I say.)

And the book I'd had in mind for Deja was Deja Demon The Days and Nights of a Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom

hum, Blackcollar in the next word. This one is a good one.

message 70: by Elvia (new)

2241602 My Life in Heavy Metal

hmmm...
Book with "further" in the title

message 69: by Michelle (new)

1922584 Book with "Spank" in the title

Dont Spank the Vamp--i knew there had to be a vampire book with that in it!

a book with "heavy" in the title

message 68: by Elvia (new)

2241602 Déjà Dead
I've always wanted to read these. I'm guessing not the book you were thinking of? lol

Book with "Spank" in the title

message 67: by Ann (new)

426768 Ok, this is one from my shelves. Iron-on Transfers for Quilt Labels And the answer is yes--I DO quilt. :o)

I'd thought about using "Michael" for the next title--but there's just too much Michael Jackson stuff right now. (The book I had in mind was My Brother Michael

Ok, how about Deja? No idea how many books there are with that in the title, but I do have a specific one in mind. (its sitting in my TBR pile)

message 66: by Elvia (new)

2241602 Tall, Dark & Fangsome

When I read Fangsome this is exactly what came to mind even though I didn't know this book! lmao

Okay book with "label" in the title

message 65: by Ann (new)

426768 Have I ever mentioned that I HATE virus programs? Mine up-dated and now I am having major probs with GR if I use IE. Sigh, I hate virus programs, hate them, hate them, hate them.

(clearing throat) Ok, sorry about that. I feel MUCH better now.

Ok, this is gonna be a totally weird one--but hubby has it for work, so I'm going to use it anyway.

Detection of Liquid Explosives and Flammable Agents in Connection with Terrorism

lol, ok, here's one that fits the PN

A title with the word FANGSOME in it.

message 64: by Elvia (new)

2241602 Sweet...
A book with "flammable" in the title

message 63: by Jael, The Restorer (new)

Elvia it works for me. Choose your word.

message 62: by Elvia (new)

2241602 Voggy's Glockenspiel Set
Does this count? It's a "learnin' book"! lol

If it counts I'll pick my new word! :)

message 61: by Ann (new)

426768 ok, weird--for some reason, the post I put in here earlier isn't showing up. The Tau Ceti I had in mind was Treasure of Tau Ceti by John Rackham. I couldn't get a hit on it when I went to add it, but it was published in 1969

message 60: by Melodie (new)

1199857 book with "spaghetti" in the title

The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster

a book with "glockenspiel" in the title (that should keep you busy for awhile!)

message 59: by Elvia (new)

2241602 Not in my shelves but this is what I found - looks good though...
A Grave Talent

book with "spaghetti" in the title

message 58: by Ann (new)

426768 no, the book I had in mind was Treasure of Tau Ceti (pub. 1969) (I couldn't get a link for it but here is a link to the author John Rackham)

And I can NOT find a single book in my shelves that has "Talent" in the title. Did you have one picked out?
