Hello and a big welcome to the Victorians! group. I hope you'll find us all a friendly bunch so please join in with existing discussions and feel free to start any of your own (there'll always be someone around to join in).

Just to help you navigate your way around the group:

There is an Introducing Ourselves thread to tell us a little bit about yoursleves and which books you love etc. Also in the general thread you will find discussions such as your favourite victorian book, what are you reading now etc, favourite costume dramas and neo-victorian book discussions.

We have started to do group reads every couple of months and there is a poll the month before so that you can nominate and vote for your favourite. This will be found under the Group Reads thread and a post will be set up on the 1st of every other month for nominations.

We also have a General Book Discussions thread. Please do start a new topic there if you want to discuss any victorian book. Whether you loved it or hated it there will be plenty of people who will join in and chat with you.

There is also an Authors thread to either discuss an individual author or to recommend one or to ask for recommendations.

We also now have a thread for Neo-Victorian novels (books written about, rather than during, that era) and we have started a group read for these books too - everyone welcome to join in.
