2123648 Hi my name is Sandy. I am easily initimidated by some of the more learned poetry sites. I love poetry but am not well versed in the classics so have not joined any other poetry group. This sounds friendly and welcoming to beginners who want to learn more about how to read and enjoy a poem.

You said...I am easily initimidated by some of the more learned poetry sites. I love poetry but am not well versed in the classics so have not joined any other poetry group.

I too feel initimidated by the more learned and can't understand much when big words are used or the poem is real long.

What are considered the classics? I mean, I know they are the older poems but I need more specifices.

Gail A.

Nophoto-f-25x33 Why feel intimidated? I love to bask in others' brilliance. FLAUNT your ignorance. There's all the more chance for you to lessen it. If I had trouble with bigger words, I would set a dictionary down beside my computer and have a ball! :D
