Yeah, on the photo page makes the most sense to me. I was actually a little surprised when I clicked through the photo and there wasn't anything there!
The photo page sounds to me like the perfect place for that. If it shows on the author's page, maybe it should be toward the bottom of the page? The author page is already getting rather busy with the blog and quote and fan areas....
I was just updating the author field for Jillian Venters, and was pleased to see that there was a field for including source information when uploading photos. However, the photo I uploaded uses a Creative Commons 'Attribution-Non Commerical-Share Alike' license, which requires attribution to the original photographer -- and though that information exists somewhere within Goodreads' databases, it doesn't currently display anywhere on the author or photo page (at least, not that I can find).
For the moment, I added a short photo attribution line to the author bio, although this is obviously a kludge. Would it be possible in the future for Goodreads to display the source notes, at least on the photo page if not on the full author bio page?
