1 Yes we don't test for FF2 now, as over 95% of our users are on FF3+

732709 Happens to me fairly often, and my Firefox is all up to date.

126262 Interestingly, I was at work on the good ol' IE6 when I tested it and couldn't make the bug happen.

83445 Rivka, It happens to me occasionally and I'm in the latest version of Safari. It's not browser specific.

Same here.

48404 I always upgrade as soon as it tells me to. Maybe it happens before FF tells me to upgrade? I'm usually online for a little while before the box comes up telling me to upgrade. I'll have to pay attention the next time it happens.

171430 Huh. Because I think I was having that issue before I upgraded, but have not since.

I stay upgraded with FF and it happens occasionally to me too, so I don't think that's it.

2047825 Ah well. I'll shut up then. And I'll caper around and announce loudly when I upgrade.

message 8: by rivka (new)

171430 Good reason. :)

But I suspect that is related to the issue you are having.

Any particular reason you haven't upgraded to FF 3?"

Well, yes. My iBook G4 is about two, maybe three, steps behind the curve and it's as upgraded as it can get. I'm running OS 10.3.9 and FF 3 requires 10.4 and up.

Yes, I need a new computer. And as soon as I get the money together, I'll have one.

2047825 I'm using Firefox 2. And yes, it happens on all pages within My Books/Home.

As to the bookshelves box, I understand how to close it; it's just annoying because there I am on a shelf, maybe down at book 50, click the edit link under bookshelves, then have to page all the way up to find the shelf menu and all the way down to get back to the book 50. I just forget to close it.

83445 It happens to me periodically. Refreshing the page works, sometimes if I move my cursor around like crazy it works, reloading the page works re getting rid of it. If I don't do any of those things it stays. This (for me) has been going on for quite a while but it doesn't happen that frequently.

126262 It's possibly a bug, a brief test with the Explore link doesn't produce the same results for me.

Which browser are you using, Lindig? And does it happen no matter which page you're on?

Nophoto-f-25x33 There is a "close" link at the top and bottom of the edit bookshelves drop down menu. You have to be all the way at the top or bottom of the menu to see it.

I've have the same problem with the drop downs on the main page, though. I'd rather have to let my cursor hover for a second or two to drop it down. As it is, sometimes I feel like all I need to do is get near it to have it bother me for a while.

2047825 If my cursor accidentally passes over "Explore" the menu pops up and hangs there. It won't close unless I (1) do it manually, or (2) click to a different page. None of the other menus do this. Is it a bug?

Of course, the edit bookshelves box does it too, obscuring the search box behind it. I assumed that once I had clicked my bookshelf choice, it would close. Maybe there should be a "done" button, so you could add/delete to your heart's content, click done, and the box would close.
