201506 January 23rd! We should probably discuss details in the next month or so...

289556 23rd of January, Raina?

message 93: by Raina (new)

1640308 We still on for the (was it the?) 23rd?

289556 Oh, hey, yeah... no rush, though, Kelsey. :)

message 91: by Agathafrye (new)

201506 One of these days I'm going to attempt to transcribe the mayhem that is my Girlycon Brainstorming Session notes...

message 90: by Agathafrye (new)

201506 Come if you can for a few minutes, otherwise we'll see you at Sizizis!

289556 Oh, man, wish I could come! I'm stuck at work until 6...

message 88: by Raina (new)

1640308 Me too - broho, that is. AND grlycon. :)

message 87: by Agathafrye (new)

201506 Yep! I'll be having a drink at the Broho right before then if anyone wants to join me... I'll be there at 5:30.

289556 The Girlycon planning meeting is TONIGHT! See you at Sizizi's at 6:30!

message 85: by Agathafrye (new)

201506 Elaine sayeth yea on the twitter. Looks like it's on.

message 84: by Agathafrye (new)

201506 Yeah, I sent Elaine a note on Twitter. I don't have her phone number! Ahhh, technology.

289556 Works for me!

message 82: by Raina (new)

1640308 Jackie and I realized last night that we didn't post our newly agreed upon time here for Elaine and Rachael to see. Friday, September 18th, 630ish at Sizzizi's. How does that work for you two?

289556 Fine by me.

message 80: by Raina (new)

1640308 Okey doke. I probably won't have my work schedule for Sept. solidified by then, but I can bring the rest of the stuff. :)

message 79: by Agathafrye (new)

201506 Bah! Let's talk about it next weekend at book group. Bring yer calendars, ladies!

message 78: by Raina (new)

1640308 I take it that's "week" on the second weekend, J? :) Hrm. Sundays would work best for me, as I work an occasional Saturday (and I think Agatha does too, probably opposite mine if our ridiculous schedules are any indication. :)).

message 77: by Jackie "the Librarian" (last edited Aug 11, 2009 01:46PM) (new)

289556 Lunch on the weekend, I can do. Lunch during the weekend, nuh uh.

message 76: by Raina (new)

1640308 heehee - that may be challenging with a bunch of librarians. I know I often have 1pm or 2pm lunches. Plus, we work a fair distance from each other... I'm willing to try though...

message 75: by Elaine (new)

1237879 Not sure about Sept 11 or 12...I'm on vacation that week, and my birthday is the 10th, so we may be going out of town. (We've done that in years past.)

Might I suggest a lunch get-together in lieu of after-work?

Me, too.

message 73: by Raina (new)

1640308 I could do either Sept. 11 or 12 at this point. :)

message 72: by Rachael (new)

1690494 And you do a good job of it too!

message 71: by Agathafrye (new)

201506 I could do September 11th or 12th- the rest of this month is pretty busy for me anyhow. There's really no rush. Rachael- we try to be an inclusive lot!

message 70: by Rachael (new)

1690494 Wow, am I the silent 5th? I had no idea! I haven't responded in quite some time since all of my weekends are booked for both August and September. I assumed if it was an over-nighter, it would be on a weekend. But please don't hold up planning for me!

I have to say that I'm impressed you ladies go to such length to include everyone! I gave up on that a long time ago - I have no patience for throwing out endless dates to groups of people (I'm mostly thinking of the ladies weekends I try to plan, but have also done lots of event planning for work) and never finding something that will work for everyone.

Please don't hold up the planning for me, but I'll try to make whatever date you choose!

message 69: by Raina (new)

1640308 Whoops! Turns out I have to attend my grandmother's birthday on Friday night (14th). So... September?
Oh brother. It's complicated getting together three community-involved women! ;)

message 68: by Elaine (new)

1237879 Crazy, I missed that too. (Was playing D&D, for reals, with entirely new player. Seriously fun. She killed a wyvern right off the bat!)

22nd is also Eastside N'hood Assoc picnic, for which I am lead volunteer. (Also, insane.) Like Jackie, I can come to the meetup, but I'll be hoarse. Hey, maybe we'll end up talking girlycon then anyhow. :)

message 67: by Agathafrye (new)

201506 I know, so awesome, and I'm so sad I missed it. Both events looked to be very fun from the pictures I saw. So... Friday night the 14th? Maybe? Or, wait until September?

289556 Well, it's a good thing we're having our planning meeting later! We would have missed the chance to see the big Bon Odori/Zombie Walk mashup in Olympia tonight!

Hahahahahahahahaha!!!! I'm NOT KIDDING!

289556 Oh, no, that's right! Oh, I'll come, but I'll be a bit hoarse, Raina.

message 64: by Raina (new)

1640308 Wait, the 22nd. Isn't that the day of our general OlyReads bookgroup at the Dockside? Does that mean Jackie won't be joining us? :( Does that mean the Dockside might be slammed? Good thing Agatha got us reservations!

289556 Me, too.
I might go check out Sizizis anyways, just for fun. :)

message 62: by Raina (new)

1640308 Oh, and I'll assume the meeting is off for both tonight and tomorrow unless I hear otherwise.

289556 The only weekend time I'd like to avoid is Saturday the 22nd, because I'm volunteering at Sand and the City, and I have a feeling it'll be exhausting.
I'm camping on the 25-27 of August, but those are weekdays.
Any other time is fine with me!

message 60: by Raina (new)

1640308 Re: Quiet Fifth - A person named "Rachael" I haven't met yet made a comment very early in this discussion, so I wasn't sure if she was in on the plans.

Friday the 14th works for me. :)

message 59: by Agathafrye (new)

201506 I could do next Friday night the 14th, or a weeknight after 7... otherwise, after that, I'll probably have to wait until September. Who are you thinking is the quiet fifth? Clearly you have inside knowledge...

message 58: by Raina (new)

1640308 Hrm... Well, I vote reschedule so all four (is there still a quiet fifth?) can make it. What other times work for people?

message 57: by Agathafrye (new)

201506 Whoops, missed all of the other conversation. I'm heading for Seattle on Saturday right after I get out of work. You all can meet without me if you want...

message 56: by Agathafrye (new)

201506 GRRREAT! Does 6:30 work for all parties involved?

289556 What, Saturday?
(Feeling a bit dizzy now...)

Saturday it is. Actually, that's easier for me, too.

message 54: by Raina (new)

1640308 lol. Sure, that's fine with me, Elaine. :)

289556 6:30, check! Thanks, Raina. :)

message 52: by Elaine (new)

1237879 whoops! turns out C scheduled a get-together with friends at the same time, and this is one we've had to postpone a couple of times. :\

can we do Saturday (same bat-time same bat-channel) instead?

message 51: by Raina (new)

1640308 6:30ish according to my records. :)

289556 Me, too!

Wait, what time are we supposed to be there, again?

message 49: by Raina (new)

1640308 Rock on! I'll see you all on Friday!

message 48: by Elaine (new)

1237879 Ok, I'll be there. (Looks like weather isn't going to be so great for camping, which was the vacation possibility. Am on vacation this week. So glad I saw Kelsey, otherwise prob'ly would've totally spaced it!)

289556 Fine by me. We need Elaine!

message 46: by Raina (new)

1640308 Makes sense to me - when will work for her?
