"Or maybe its just concerned parents who don't want their children listening to 16 year olds detail their active sex lives on an internet debate group, eh?"Not our problem. We don't babysit their kids for them.
"If I were to have kids, I would just not want them to learn about sex from Davis and Kyle discussing their teenage sex lives on goodreads."
Ah, that gave me lulz.
I agree that the media is saturated with sex, but can you blame them? It's what sells, it's what people are interested in.
I don't think that they are very descriptive of it...now, put ur kid in Roleplay and he could learn something, lolz...
I agree. It is something kids should definitely be educated on. Sex is not a negative thing in the least, but I think it is too prevalent in society, the media, and now the web. I think most children are exposed to more than their parents know. If I were to have kids, I would just not want them to learn about sex from Davis and Kyle discussing their teenage sex lives on goodreads.

I agree. However, two things often happen.
1. parents don't know what kids are doing online
2. the parents don't know their kids are online in the first place (kids are smarter and sneakier than their parents think)
And website age limits don't mean a thing -- they are violated all the time.
Not if they're going to allow their child to be blind, and taken advantage of. A kid has a right to know, and they need to learn, if a parent isn't responsible enough to teach them, they should be able to search for answers to their questions.
Marley wrote: "Don't kids have the right to search for information?"
Don't parents have the right to inform their children themselves?
Marley wrote: "They aren't being very good parents if they don't give you any information. I'd rather know now, then figure it out in another way..."
And if the parents don't let kids know what it is and talk to them about it before a certain age than it's their fault. But parents have a right to explain it themselves.
lolz, nice Paige, I'd raher learn about it from yall strangers actually... Mostly because I had a weird sex ed teacher...

I believe the site's limit is indeed 13.
But there are plenty of parents (that I know, even) that aren't computer savvy, don't have the time, or just don't know how to, or that they should.
Marley wrote: "You just said there's nothing wrong with sex, and then that kids shouldn't be talking about it?"
Parents should be the ones to explain sex to the children, not other children. I didn't know about sex until I was eight. Parents should be allowed to decide when they know. It's their right as guardians.

Lauren wrote: "Well, of course, there are bad things that can happen, because life is set up when people want sex the most is when they are least able to handle it. Hormone-crazed teenagers obviously can't handle..."No, there is nothing wrong with sex.
