For those of you who might be a little skittish about giving interviews listen to Maggie Dana being interviewed by Martin Bailie on June 17th. She did a great job.. and Martin Bailie was wonderful..

922837 Oh, PRATE INTERVIEWS (poets and other reprobates) has just interviewed me about my interminably forthcoming novel (the Bukkakeworld follow-up) YOU THE PEOPLE, surrealist horror, art, orgasmic music, bon viveur-ism, apocalyptica, the Corporation, Silverthought Press, pseudonyms and the awakening of mankind.

1780832 Hey, all. I wanted to share a new interview that was just posted. It talks about my books, but also my Win a Book site, which I hope you'll all get involved with.

922837 Susan,

well done. Your update reminded me, MySpace Authors have just interviewed me about my new (editorial) release Chimeraworld 6 (new world disorder) and other rivetting titbits. They'll be featuring my novel BUKKAKEWORLD in November. All good.

1780832 Thanks, Mike. It was, as always, fun to do.

Am I the only one who thinks interviews are fun?

message 7: by Mike (new)

922837 Susan,

correct. That same mentality HAS TO apply to the writing process (in fact ANY 'creative' process) too. If you're not enjoying it, i.e. if you're just writing 'to contract' then you're (probably) in the wrong business.

:)

2904662 We have done several interviews recently - the latest one is on the New Jersey Life magazine website:
http://www.newjerseylife.com/current-iss...

We also got lucky because our book's trailer was one of five cited in a Huffington Post article about book videos:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/10/07...

And we interviewed our book video's director on our newly launched website,
janetility.com

1780832 Gang, remember if you send the permalink to winabook@westofmars.com when the interview goes live, I'll post about it at Win a Book. A little bit of extra exposure never hurt...

2355046 I have been interviewed in several different formats: radio, personal appearances, online, and personal and telephone conferences with book clubs.

My latest online interview is at Visual Arts Junction, here: http://www.visualartsjunction.com/?p=382...

A radio interview I did last year on Houston Public Radio, KUHF, is available on my website: http://www.marjorieprice.com/appearances...

I thoroughly enjoy interviews regardless of the format. It’s gratifying for an author to connect with readers or with people who are interested in finding out about what you’ve written. Especially enjoyable is when you connect with people who have read the book, are enthusiastic about it, and ask insightful questions.
