Thanks so much... I can't wait to hear what people say.
Hello Catherine and welcome to the group. I created a new topic for your time-travel series, here. Welcome. :-)
Hello everyone! I'm rather new here. Love, love, love time travel and have my own Highlander Time Travel Series that is just now hitting the shelves. I would love your feedback on my first full length book.

I look forward to hearing from you.
Hi all,Just found this group, and discovered time travel romance with the book "Somewhere in Time", and just finished "Everything in its Time" by Dee Davis and loved it! Trying to figure out what to read next....thanks for all the suggestions listed in this comment thread.
I am enjoying it so far, I just don't want to finish it too fast plus I committed myself to reading two other books, one for a review and the other as part of Barnes and Nobles First Look Book Club so sometimes even when I want to sit down to read An Echo in the Bone I know I need to read one of the others.
Thanks for the info about the discussions and topics.
Hi Jill! Welcome to GRs and this group. In groups, dormant topics (folders) tend to disappear. To view all discussions in any group:
Look at the gray area that sits on top of the "General Folder." "Discussion Board" appears on the far left, but look to the right in the gray box for "all." Selecting "all" will show all the dormant topics (folders) in a group.
Inside each topic (folder) are discussions. To view all of those select "view all."
Are you enjoying An Echo in the Bone?
Hi, I'm Jill and I just found this group. I love Diana Gabaldon (currently I am reading book 7 An Echo in the Bone) and finding her books brought me to time travel and Scottish books. I've really enjoyed Karen Marie Monings series and have read quite a few Lynn Kurland ones (I have a bunch on the shelf TBR). I enjoyed Linda Lael Miller's two time travel books (she might have more but I only read two I think they were Once and Again and then something similar). I know I've read others but that is all that comes to mind. I can't wait to peruse the posts!
Cool! The series looks really interesting. I haven't read any kind of action books lately, so they would be a nice change of pace. They're on my list to-read :)
Neat. I'm more particular and like romance and horror. :-) Just finished a great series by Jeaniene Frost. It started out as a paranormal romance (books 1 and 2), but the last two books were fiction. Nicely written, both funny and serious moments and a lot of kick-butt action. Here's the series:

Thank you for the welcome! I read a bit of everything, but my favorite books tend to be historical fiction (Queen of Camelot by Nancy McKenzie is one of my favorites). I'll read anything though as long as it's well-written. I love discovering new authors and I don't mind stepping out of my comfort zone to explore a new genre.
Hi Kimberly! Welcome to the group and Goodreads. If you have any questions about "stuff" on the site, feel free to drop a PM my way or post in the group. We've started a few author discussions about other time-travel books here and if you know of others, please create a post.
I primarily read romance and horror. What genre to you prefer?
Hi! My name is Kimberly and I'm from Oregon. I'm new to Good Reads and this group. I am currently reading the Outlander series (on Voyager right now) and I LOVE it!!! I'm looking forward to reading more books in this genre. Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm open to reading suggestions!
Kathrynn wrote: "Hi Denise and welcome to the Group! Thank you for the info on Christine Holden's book, "A Time for Us."
As a woman, if I came from the year 1413 to 1998 and experienced bathrooms, running water...it would be pretty darn hard to return to that life. The book sounds interesting and I may have to read it to find out if the heroine stays in New Orleans. :-) "
Kathrynn: I won't tell if Ailith stays or returns, you will have to read the book and find out. I think you will enjoy it. I have often thought about if Henry Ford would return or the Wright brothers could see the airplane of today or whoever came up with the first computer that took up a room the size of a house and I think could only add, subtract, multiply and divide could see what their inventions are like now and how the world has changed because of them (how about Bell and seeing the cell phone and what it can do). Those people were only from 100 years back (or so). Coming from 1413 would be beyond mind boggling.
Hi Denise and welcome to the Group! Thank you for the info on Christine Holden's book, "A Time for Us." As a woman, if I came from the year 1413 to 1998 and experienced bathrooms, running water, tampons!, microwaves...it would be pretty darn hard to return to that life. The book sounds interesting and I may have to read it to find out if the heroine stays in New Orleans. :-)

Julie: You are very welcome. The next best thing to reading a good book is sharing it with someone and having them like it too. I hope that you enjoy it. Please let the group know after you read it.
Hi, I am new to the group and fairly new to this genre. I have read some time travel books but more from the science fiction side of things. I love Robert Heinlein and his book Time Enough for Love and other books with Lazarus Long as the main character. I was looking for The Time Traveler's Wife on Amazon and I'm sure everyone has looked up books on Amazon so you know how they give you other suggested titles that you might like. A Time For Us by Christine Holden caught my eye and I decided to read it. I enjoyed the book very much and then went searching here on Goodreads to see if there was a group I could join to discuss TTR's. Hence, I am here.
Just a little bit about A Time For Us. It appears to be a stand alone book although I see that Holden has several titles that appear to be time travel romances. Our protagonist, Ailith deCotmer is the only child of the astrologer Galen. They live in Middlesbrough, England and the year is 1413. Lord Preston Claybourne, their liege, is attracted to Ailith and wants to make her is leman. She is very opposed to this as he doesn't choose to marry her as he has already taken a wife. Ailith accidentally gets sent into the future finding herself in New Orleans, LA in the year 1998. The story is good and I felt that the author did an exceptional job of describing Ailith's thoughts and reactions to our modern conveniences that we take so for granted (such as bathroom facilities, the telephone, television, cars, and junk food). I found the book very entertaining and hope that others in the group might like it also.
I read Victoria Chancellor's Miracle of Love a couple of years ago, and really enjoyed it. I've been meaning to try some more of her books, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
I've read Tess Mallory's Highland Fling. It was a time-travel and I enjoyed it! I'm going to have to check out Jewels in Time. Thank you!Haven't read Elizabeth Crane or Victoria Chancellor.
I'm definitely going to have to check it out. It sounds great. Some of my favorite TTR's are:
Jewels in Time by Tess Mallory
Across the Rainbow by Victoria Chancellor
Reflections in Time by Elizabeth Crane
(there is another by Elizabeth Crane but I can't think of the name offhand)
And those are just to name a few.
Jennifer, the Outlander series was written by Diana Gabaldon. There are two discussion on her books in this group. 1. Diana Gabaldon (spoilers)
2. Diana Gabaldon (no spoilers) Click HERE to go right to it.
The series begins with Outlander in the year 1942 (hope that's right) and travels back to Scotland in 1700's (1762?). May be something you would enjoy?
I'm Jennifer. Time-travel romance is one of my favorite genres. There is just something about time-travel that I really enjoy. I would love to learn what books other people have enjoyed and to give and get some great suggestions.
Hi everyone,
I just recently started reading time travel and so far I'm really enjoying it. Right now I am reading the third installment of Melissa Mayhue's, Daughters of the Glen series.
Hi, I'm new to this group also. My name is Cathie. I just started reading Lynn Kurland's Till There Was You, Zachary Smith's story. Mary de Piaget, Robin and Anne's daughter is involved in this story, as well as all the other characters from her McLeod and de Piaget series. It begins with the three spirits (Ambrose, Hugh and Fulbert) that many of us have come to love from the Boar's Head Inn. Her stories always take me away to another place and time.
Lauren wrote: "Hi I new to the group. I love the Highlander series from karen moning! Anything that has to do with time travel or a Highlander I am all over.:)"
You might want to try:
Veronica Wolff's series...
Sword of the Highlands
Master of the Highlands
Warrior of the Highlands
Hi I new to the group. I love the Highlander series from karen moning! Anything that has to do with time travel or a Highlander I am all over.:)
Hi Everyone...I enjoy both writing and reading time travel/romance & adventure novels. I stumbled upon this group and look forward to being part of a group with similar interests.
Ed M.
I discovered this group searching for a discussion on Diana Gabaldon's Outlander that I just finished.
My YA fantasy/time travel/Romance Two Moon Princess came out in 2007.
It takes place in a parallel world that is still Medieval Spain and modern day California.
Welcome ConnieK! After putting this group together, I've been surprised by the number of time-travel romance books there are, too. As I find time-travel romance books, I add to the group. Everyone is welcome to add time-travel romance books to the group, too! Start topics.
My only request is that:
1. Authors DO NOT post about themselves and their books where it is not relevant. Please see the "Author's Spotlight" topic.
2. No plot spoilers, please. There's a topic for spoilers if interested.
Again, welcome and hope to read your comments on books here. :-) I'm reading "Somewhere in Time" by Pamella Bretton and it's going to be one of those slow books that I read others while working on it. :-(
Hello! I just stumbled upon this group and after exploring a bit, had no idea there was such a wide range of time travel romance authors. I currently am reading the Outlander series - about a third of the way through Dragaonfly in Amber and also have read Audrey Niffenegger's Time Traveler's wife. Looking forward to exploring the many other TT books recommended here!
Thanks. Sandra Hill's Cajun series is great as well. Her sense of humor shows in the Viking books also. Some of them are laugh out loud funny.
Hi Barbara and welcome to the group!I've read Karen Moning's Highlander series and enjoyed them--a lot. :-) Read a few of Sandra Hill's Vikings books, but have read most of her Cajun Series. Enjoyed her sense of humor in those--Tante Lulu.
Going to check out the others you mentioned...
Again, welcome to the group.

Hi Nicole,Welcome to the group. I, too, enjoy a good time-travel. Something about two time periods mixing...so neat.
What time-travels have you read and enjoyed?
Hooray! I've found you guys!!!I love time travel romance; it's some of my favorite stuff. I got hooked with a book by Mary Luke called "The Nonsuch Lure" back when I was a kid. I am of course a fan of Diana Gabaldon, but I'm always looking for more in this genre. I'm hoping y'all can recommend some books to me!
