dear Laura, You might try the CD's. I found it easier to hear than to read, but I did find it simple, understandable and at times hard to hear. But I guess I needed it. Are you sharing it with our spouse? I think that helps! Good Luck!
The first few chapters are hard on the wife... you feel like you are being berated and told its all your fault! But push through! He gets after the husbands too! This really helped my husband and me understand each other's needs.
