Happy birthday for the 26th Andi and for the 28th Theresa. I'll never manage to remember on the right days so here's good wishes in advance.
Barb, I am so sorry I missed wishing you a Happy Birthday. This is quite late, but nevertheless, I hope that the year ahead of you is a very good one.
Also a belated Happy Birthday to gail. It seems as I got too caught up on my own celebrations and very selfishly forgot everyone else.
Katy, thanks for the birthday wishes too.
Happy Birthday to Capitu, Barb, Theresa and gail (who has been AWOL for some time) Another year has gone by, and still so many books to enjoy and share. Best wishes to all. Katy H
Thanks so much, everyone, for the lovely birthday greetings. Since Jane started this tradition, it has been one of my favorite things about my birthday. As Lynn guessed, this is too busy a time to really indulge, but it has been great anyway.
Ruth, I love that painting and, Sherry, the animation looks like all of my kids at work today. We had an end of the year celebration with them (though they still have 3 more days, because of logistics we needed to do it on Friday) complete with face painters, balloon animals, ice cream and singing of songs for parents. They were some very happy little munchkins. Though the years keep piling on, they keep me feeling surprisingly young.
Oh, shoot - I missed your birthday, Barb! I hope you had a great day, full of good company, wine, and books. I imagine that you're in the middle of the end-of-year rush, but I wish you a fine summer when you finally get free!
Lynn
Happy birthday, Barb! I hope this is a great year for you. And thanks for your invaluable role in CR. (By the way, sorry I haven't taken part in the short story discussions these past few months: the print in the book is too small for me to read now unfortunately. I hope it doesn't remain that way.)
Happy Birthday Barbara! May you have many happy hours of reading and commenting on CR in the coming year.
Happy B Day, Barb! Can you see me in the crowd pic that Sherry sent? Oh, and sorry -- Belated Birthday wishes to Capitu!
Happy birthday, Barb. I've loved knowing you over the years. Thanks for the short stories!

Barbara:Happy Birthday! I hope you have a wonderful day and great year.
Thanks for all you do here at Constant Reader.
Happy Birthday Barbara,I hope your day is full of love and happiness. Fun wouldn't go amiss either, would it!
Happy Birthday, Capitu! I wish you a great day and an even better year to follow. Your trip to Europe sounds like a great start!
Happy Birthday Capitu! You've added so much to the discussions here and I hope you have a great day and a fabulous trip.
Oh, you are all so great! I didn’t check on CR for a while and I come back to all of this. Thank you for the birthday wishes and very kind words, and I wanted you to know that you already made my day. I feel so happy that I found all of you here. I think of it as one of the great things that happened last year. Candy’s thoughts on internet communities sound all so personal to me, because finding this community of likeminded booklovers has add so much to my life already.
The next two days are going to be especially busy, as we are showing cattle at a show, so I don’t expect much more than a birthday kiss – and a rushed one at that - from my husband and kids. But that is all right, because on Thursday I take off on a 10 day trip to Germany, France and Switzerland. I am not actually seeing too many places, but I am going to visit some very dear friends. And this trip is my birthday gift to myself. (Jane, I am going to be in Strasbourg for 3 days, and probably in Colmar for a day).
Ruth, I have to confess that I had for a while now wondered what art work you would chose for me, but it never occurred to me that you would chose a Brazilian piece. This was so thoughtful, thanks. Di Cavalcanti’s work is so essentially Brazilian...
Have a great birthday tomorrow, Capitu! You've been a great presence on Constant Reader: I always look forward to and appreciate your perspective.
Happy Birthday,Capitu! I love reading your comments when I'm able to keep up with the reading selections. Now that Book Expo is done maybe I'll get back into the swing of it.
Happy Birthday, Capitu -- we're so happy that you found Constant Reader on Goodreads and have stayed around for discussions! You're a great addition to the group. wishing you books or not and many good things on your birthday.
This time, I'll get in my birthday greetings early in the month by having a special writer friend of mine express my feelings to all of you.

... who really is a friend of the fellow in the video clip; he's actor Richard Henzel, who supplies the radio DJ's voice every time Bill Murray's alarm clock goes off in Groundhog Day. I modified this clip from a television production he did many years ago. Incidentally, Henzel has become very active in recording audiobooks, and you can find some of his editions of Mark Twain books on Audible.com. His reading of Pudd'nhead Wilson is the best I've heard
I hope you have an aniversário feliz, Capitu. A Brazilian artist for you.
