1966153 Took me a little while to get into it, but once I did, I couldn't put it down.

How did you like South of Broad??

1966153 I really did, Tanja. I hadn't expected to, but it was very engrossing and short chapters, which I love!

1053760 Julie you only have 10 books to meet your goal! You do have some interesting books on your list.

1966153 I loved Very Valentine. I was reading it at the same time as the Secret Service, so it was a nice refreshing break! I tend to read more non-fiction than fiction, so if I give non-fiction a 5-star rating, it has to be good!

1966153 Pretty good. It wasn't really depressing, like I thought it might be.

2577083 Ooh... what did you think? I have it on my stack of "possible to-reads" at home.

message 30: by Julie (new)

1966153 Thanks!

1966153 I loved it once I finished it, but it troubled me at times and I had to put it down for a day or two and read something else. I gave it 5 stars which I rarely ever do, because it had touched me so much. I would definitely encourage anyone to read it, but keep something else on hand to read at the same time!

365038 What are your thoughts on this one? It is still waiting patiently on my nightstand!

message 22: by Mandy Sue (new)

1410084 Sounds like just what I need, thanks!

message 21: by Julie (new)

1966153 Pretty cute. A quick, mindless read with a fair amount of humor!

1410084 Julie ~ What did you think of "If You Give a Mom a Martini 100 Ways to Find 10 Blissful Minutes for Yourself?"

message 17: by Julie (new)

1966153 I'm not quite sure! Right now, I'm reading them in order of what's due at the library soonest! After that, I'll have one of my kids pick one randomly!

10818 Julie, how you decide which books you will read? You have quite an eclectic mix.

message 15: by Christy (new)

2201617 Ok, I was definitely going too fast then! I will slow it down and try again. :) I did figure out a way to attach my laptop to the treadmill, that was fun. But reading is always better!

message 14: by Julie (new)

1966153 I have the incline on 3.5 and I walk at 3.0. I did it yesterday and stayed on for an extra 15 minutes so I could finish a chapter! You might try it with large print books...makes it easier to read!

I've tried reading on the treadmill, but it didn't work out too well. lol Maybe I was going to fast... How fast do you walk? I need motivation to get back on it!
