1971878 What are ya'll doing this summer?! I am so happy school is over!!

I'm going to camp in June.
I'm going to be hanging out with friends a lot!
My sister and I are going to start going jogging every morning (we are so out of shape). ;)
And I know I'm going to be traveling a lot. Going to my grandparent's, maybe going down to Chattanooga to stay with my bffltly's aunt's house, my aunt's house boat.

So what about you?

898371 I'm going to girls camp.
Taking heath class on EHS.
I'm going to Independence then Nauvoo.
Helping me friend publish her book, and entering a few story contest on Goodreads.
Doing summer homework.
Tending our garden for Personal Progress.

That's what I'm doing.

898371 Yeah, I do.

message 5: by Bookworm, The Math Nerd (new)

1971878 Where is your girl camp?

message 6: by Halley, The Giggly One (new)

898371 Heber Valley Camp.

message 7: by Halley, The Giggly One (new)

898371 I'm going to lagoon tomorrow!

message 8: by Bookworm, The Math Nerd (new)

1971878 Is that close to where you live?

message 9: by Leonie, The European One (new)

1198465 oh, but how can you get summer homework, if you don´t know, if you´ll get the same teachers the next year??

message 10: by Kelsey (new)

1176289 School isn't over for me yet, but I am doing a lot this summer.

message 11: by Bookworm, The Math Nerd (new)

1971878 I'm going to be reading A Tale of Two Cities and Romeo and Juliet for my writing class that starts in the fall. I don't really have to read them, but I want to be prepared for the class. :)

message 12: by Kelsey (new)

1176289 Cool. I read Romeo and Juliet last year.

message 13: by Bookworm, The Math Nerd (new)

1971878 I read it last year too for fun, and I didn't like it. At all! I mean, I'm the kinda person that loves tragedies, but Romeo and Juliet's story made me want to laugh! Two teenagers falling 'in love' and getting engaged in less than 24 hours? I'm sorry, but I don't feel bad for them.

898371 Lagoon....is about a hour and a half away from me.
These are some of the rides I LOVE!
1. THE ROCKET:Re-Entry: http://www.lagoonpark.com/show_ride.php?...
2. The Roller Coaster(the is when it was still painted white every couple years): http://www.lagoonpark.com/show_ride.php?...
3.The Samurai: http://www.lagoonpark.com/show_ride.php?...
You can look at other rides if you want.

message 15: by Bookworm, The Math Nerd (new)

1971878 That looks like so much fun!!!! I wanna go there!!

The theme parks that are close to me are Dolly Wood and Splash Country.

My favorite rides are:
1. The Mystery Mine
2. Thunder Head
and 3. Tennessee Tornado.

All roller coasters. :)

Next year, I think I might go with my church to Six Flags! http://www.sixflags.com/overGeorgia/ride...

1198465 Pleaaassee, just one question: How can you get summer homework, if you aren´t sure, if you´ll get the same teachers next year?

yes, I saw the film "Roméo et Juliette" in a french lesson... ;) very romantic

898371 I know what teacher I will have next year for the class.
It's the California Six flags where that one girl got her legs cut off on their rocket by a lose wire? (that can't happen at Lagoon, all the rides run on gas. Wall most of the rides, the roller coasters too old.)

message 18: by Bookworm, The Math Nerd (new)

1971878 Actually, I think it was in Kentucky.

The Six Flags my church goes to is in Georgia.

message 19: by Leonie, The European One (new)

1198465 aaah okay, but what if it´s another teacher then the teacher you have at the moment?

message 20: by Halley, The Giggly One (new)

898371 It is different, I got the assignment from the new teacher.

message 21: by Bookworm, The Math Nerd (new)

1971878 I only have three teachers.

1. Mom!!!!
2. Mrs. Shenk (writing teacher)
3. Mrs. Murray (Physical Science)

Mrs. Shenk (sh-ank) is awesome! She's really short (I don't even think she's over 5 feet!) and sassy. She grew up in San Francisco and went to a school on the beach. She has so many amazing stories.

message 22: by Leonie, The European One (new)

1198465 ah okay ;) now I understand thanks :D

message 23: by Halley, The Giggly One (new)

message 24: by Halley, The Giggly One (new)

898371 It the first week of summer and I'm already tired....

message 25: by Bookworm, The Math Nerd (new)

1971878 Me too!
Okay, so here's what I did last week:
Tuesday: Danae slept over and we watched Déjà Vu.
Wednesday: Went to the pool with Danae and her little brother Cody. Kaela came over around 8:00. Danae, Melanie, Kaela, and I went over to Danae's house and spent the night. She just got a kitten named Socks and he is sooo cute!!! We watched Twilight and then A Walk to Remember. Around 3:00 in the morning, we went on Youtube and looked up random videos of Taylor Lautner (we're all in love with him.) ;)
Thursday: We all went downtown to this awesome store called Mast General and then ate at a pizza place. After that, Danae and Cody went back to their house along with my brother Aaron. Then we had to take Kaela to the YMCA so she could work out. :/
Friday: Kaela came over again after babysitting and spent the night. We watched The Uninvited with my dad and then after he went to bed, we watched Australia.
Saturday: We had to take Kaela to Food City because her dance team had a car wash to work.

And that is what I have done this week. Well, I have done more, but that's a lot of random things. ;)

message 30: by Kelsey (new)

1176289 How sad is it? I wanted to see it. Now I am not so sure.

message 31: by Halley, The Giggly One (new)

898371 You need to see it still funny.

message 32: by Bookworm, The Math Nerd (new)

1971878 Okay! I'll ask my mom. :)

message 42: by Halley, The Giggly One (new)

898371 Oh how do explain Firesides?

Firesides: (From www.Mormon.org)
A meeting in which members gather for religious instruction outside of regular Sunday meetings. Firesides generally focus on a particular group or topic, such as youth, or missionary work
