1835854 I have just finished "The Gargoyle" as it really jumped out with me with the pages being black and the artwork. It was pretty average to me but others i have spoken too love it. So started on the 19th Wife and can't get into it (suposed to read it by tomorrow for book group oops!) so have gone back to old faithful Eclipse!

You read "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas"? Its pretty upsetting but its really thought provoking coming from a child's prospective. One of the better holocaust books

2189018 The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson.

Its really good, a bit confusing at first with the fact that its a sweedish book translated to English and there are a wide range of characters to keep track of, but still really interesting.

message 18: by Sarah (new)

410324 Number the Stars was excellent. I recommend the MAUS graphic novels. Really good.

message 19: by Laney (new)

Nophoto-f-25x33 Now i'm reading Number the Stars. It's a very easy read though.

1960164 I am currently reading Envy by Anna Godbersen 3 of 4 in Luxe series. I wasn't sure if I would like them but they have been pretty good and I really want to finish so I know what happens with my favorite characters.

message 25: by Laney (new)

Nophoto-f-25x33 I checked out The Luxe (the first one) from the library today. I also got Peeps by Scott Westerfeld. I read all the Uglies books and loved them so I figured I may like this one. Has anyone else read it?

message 28: by Cristy (new)

2189018 I've just started Chasing Harry Winston by Lauren Weisburger. Just a light read after just finishing The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

message 29: by sadester (new)

1639674 What is it about?

message 30: by ♥BookGeek♥ (new)

2254001 I'm reading Gone by Michael Grant. Apparently, if anyone has read Lord of the Flies it's a bit like that. The adults disappearing from the world and this group of bullies come marching in and taking over the world type thing. It's really awesome though I'm almost done with it.

message 31: by Niamh (new)

Nophoto-f-25x33 IM reading Seabiscuit

message 32: by sadester (new)

1639674 sounds interesting I will have to check it out

message 33: by Jen (new)

2203004 I'm currently reading Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte & Brisingr by Christopher Paolini.

I almost always am reading 2 books at the same time. Well technically i'm reading 3 if you count The Historian, but I had to take that back to the library and haven't bought my own copy yet so it's "on hold".

message 34: by claudia (new)

1690572 Ok I'm ready book three of the study series. They are all so good!! They go Poison study, Magic study and then Fire study! No vamps but the main character Yelena is pretty cool!!

message 37: by Kami ♥ (new)

1685035 I am reading Untamed, i just finished the Silver Kiss today.

message 38: by iluvcatz (Katie) (new)

2114850 i am reading 4 books-
the secret life of bees

message 39: by Laney (new)

Nophoto-f-25x33 Secret Life Of Bees is AWESOME! I'm reading Being Nikki, the second Airhead book by Meg Cabot. I just finished reading Thirteen Reasons Why. It was really good but really sad.

message 40: by iluvcatz (Katie) (new)

2114850 i like meg cabot books! ive read the princess diaries, princess in the spotlight, princess in love, princess in training, project princess, valentine princess, princess in pink, the princess present, and princess lessons.

message 41: by Laney (new)

Nophoto-f-25x33 i've read most of the princess diaries books. i've also read a few more meg cabot books. they are all good.

message 42: by Meaghan (new)

2349716 I am currently reading all the books by Lois Duncan. She's a fantastic author that has a way of making the plot seem completly normal, but then there is always a hidded element like someone being a witch or something to do with magic. Like I said, the books are fantasic. After Twilight I also read several of the books by Jodi Piccoult. Wow. They were some of the best books that I have ever read (aside from Twilight of course. =D ) The problem with reading Twilight is that now I always compare the books that I am reading now to it. But I guess that if that's the biggest of my worries, I'm okay. :)

2349716 sadester wrote: "I just read The Host! It was so good! "

I loved The Host too! I read it, and it was totally AMAZING!!!

message 44: by Kami ♥ (new)

1685035 I tried to read it, but i didnt like it. it was way too confusing

message 45: by Stephanie, Loves Vamps and Werewolves but Zombies scare me!! (new)

1690572 I loved the Host but my boss and a few of my friends didn't...I think it had to do with them expecting it to be more like Twilight!

message 46: by Laney (new)

Nophoto-f-25x33 The Host was kinda confusing. It was a lot different than Twilight. It was also considered an adult book unlike the Twilight series

message 47: by Melzz (new)

2286923 Well we couldnt expect her to make something similar. Someone might have called it a spin off ya know?

message 48: by Stephanie, Loves Vamps and Werewolves but Zombies scare me!! (new)

1690572 Exactly...I loved the Host...I think because it was so different.

message 49: by Olivia (new)

2208716 i am reading Triskellion. it is really good!

message 50: by iluvcatz (Katie) (new)
