2239631 Hi, I am new to this group as well. I could stand to learn and read more Historical Fiction. Any good suggestions to start with?

382208 OH, thank you! I've found that since I've been reading these long trilogies of nice, fat books, I can't switch genres very well. Kind of liking throwing my car into reverse while driving on the highway at 60mph -- not good.

1730977 Hi Lori, Have you ever read the Saxon stories by Bernard Cornwell?? The first book of the series is titled "The Last Kingdom". He does his resarch well and his writing makes for a smooth read. I love how he draws you into the story. Wish you luck with your book hunt..!!!

382208 I'm new to the group and am looking forward to finding more books to read! I've devoured the Outlander series, am sadly almost done with both of Sharon Kay Penman's series, and am looking for more to read!
