Yeah, I do. I frequently re-read series books, each time a new story is added.

When I set up my goodreads shelf, I added all the books I could remember to have read (since 17-18 years old, no children's books) - and since I'm a really huge "re-reader", out of curiosity I made read-at-least-twice shelf. Turned out to be 366 out of 807, or 45%. And I know I've read many of those more than twice. If I've enjoyed a book once, there's huge possibility I will enjoy it twice and thrice as well. It's the same with film.

I'm not much of a re-reader either, if I do re-read a book, I just make a note of it in the "currently reading status".

That's a good idea Hazel. My problem is a bought a ton of books the past few months but have been reading less, so I'm trying to tackle a lot of the books I bought, in no particular order.

I try to alternate between, classic, book of the month, fun fiction and re-read; then repeat the cycle. I'm just trying to keep track of my books and their status.

I do read a book again from time to time, but I wouldn't say that I'm much of a re-reader. For example, last year my sister bought a copy of Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein and I reread it for what is possibly the 6th time. But that's a big exception. What's more likely is that I might reread one book in a series when I've picked up a sequel and it's been a long time since I read the earlier book. So, in May 2008, I reread Black on Black by K D Wentworth and then immediately read the sequel, Stars Over Stars.

I can only think of 4 books I've reread. When I was a child I reread "Little Women" and "The Secret Garden" a few times each. In my tweens I read "Gone With the Wind" and "To Kill a Mockingbird", and then I reread them as an adult.

I almost never reread a book. (Count on one hand the times I have other than for a class assignment many years ago. I am not counting the reading done for proofing of the download books I posted at MobileRead.) Maybe a great passage or two, but not the book. It is the same way for movies or television shows.

For the best of them, just seeing the book or reading the title brings back the memories of the book and the associated elements.

There are more books I want to read than I could fit into two lifetimes and that is just the English language books I know of today. I am sure that there will be more published soon and many more that are already published that I just have not heard about yet.

A lot in my TBR pile (not all on Goodreads yet) are what I would call read-and-discard books. I know I'm not going to love them, they may pass the time and I'll enjoy them, but they're not 'keepers'.

Now, books like Farenheit 451, Don Quixote and To Kill a Mockingbird seem to get better every time I read them. And each of those books changes every time I pick them up, depending on my age and circumnstance I'll find the meaning of the book might change or I'll notice a detail I never noticed before.

I re-read a lot of books as well -- especially the 'comfort books' when life gets stressful or in between longer more demanding books. I'm re-reading the Little House on the Prairie books at them minute.

I have a massive TBR pile, more than shows on here, thanks to MR!!! I still end up re-reading books I have enjoyed in the past. They are 'comfort books' and I love them more than the new books. LOL

I can't re-read anymore. I feel guilty since I have such a giant TBR pile (even just the ones I actually own).

I re-read any book I have really enjoyed and/or to further examine its' plot.
