Jen thanks for mentioning the book, it's definately going to have to be added to the TBR. I love how Judy Blume has had such a wide-reaching influence on so many people!
I have never read anything by Judy Blume, but I have heard nothing but good things about her. I think I will read something of hers. I wonder if I could fit it into my challenge.
Just have to mention that I'm reading a non-YA book right now that I'm loving: Everything I Needed to Know about Being a Girl I Learned from Judy Blume. It's a collection of essays from popular female (mostly chick-lit) writers about their memories of Judy Blume's books. I'm really enjoying the great trip down memory lane...and learning about a few JB books I've never read...going to have to add them to my list!

Seriously. Her books are worth revisiting.

haha my husband calls me Wifey....
TMI?
*back to my corner*
My sister ordered Freckle Juice off betterworldbooks.com for me!!! Woooo-Hoooo!!! Okay, maybe its really for me to enjoy with my 7 year old but I am claiming it as mine. :)
I devoured all things Judy Blume when I was younger. My favorites were Are you There God? It's me Margaret, Freckle Juice, all of the Fudge books, & Tiger Eyes. I think I'm going to have to revisit these for old times sake.
She writes some Racey adult books too! Wifey is the one that comes to mind, but I'm pretty sure there are others. I remember being fascinated by the cover of Wifey. It was the midriff of a woman, naked, with her hand, displaying her wedding ring, layin on her bellybutton. It just looked so...private!
Judy Blume is the BOMB!!! I read everything of hers as a kid and later read her adult books too. I remember the thrill of Forever. I mean, who would have ever thought a guy would name his...little friend? LOL
Oh yeah, all of hers are terrific, I think back in elementary school I had read all she had written at the time. And of course Forever was required fifth grade reading, as I recall! Someone's mom was reading Wifey and we all got a look at that too (covered it in a plain white wrapper so our mom's wouldn't know what the heck we were reading)!
She was definitely the author who got me started - oh, and Beverly Cleary. (Now I'm really dating myself!)
Judy Blume is responsible for my love of reading. I've read almost all of her YA/kids books...but my absolute favorites are Starring Sally J. Freedman as Herself and Just as Long as We're Together. Oh, and Blubber...how can you not love Blubber?!
I loved Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret and Forever. I just bought Summer Sisters and intend to read it soon.
Judy Blume is the goddess of YA literature. I've only read Forever and Are you There God? Not to mention all the Fudge books.
Freckle Juice << THAT's the one I read by Judy Blume. A million times I don't think I really read that many others - though I may have but it was so long ago.
I used to love Judy Blume's books. I think I read them all when I was growing up. I remember going to the mall with some friends to buy Forever. We were probably about 12 years old and we thought we were so sophisticated buying and reading a book about sex!
