819711 Carol, It is easy to start your own list. Just go to the discussion > A-E and click on the link to the right that says "New Topic". Then you can add your own topic title (something like Carol's books - whatever you want) and start with your first post in the comment box. You can use the "add book/author" on the top to search and put in the cover or title of a book. Then when you click on "post" you have done it!! I put a "bookmark" so that it is easy to get back to my own list to add my books. Welcome and enjoy!

Glad to meet you too, Tim. I've been reading these blogs for several months and have yet to learn how to get my own headline and start listing my books! I just the other day discovered that if I click on the little square that some people add that shows the cover of the book it would take me to a page that gives all the information I seek about the book, plus a synopsis! I was getting really p...d that people just put that and no author or title, now I think it's better than just listing the author and title. Next I want to learn how to do that, too, and how to get the clickable underline under the title...so many things to learn. I hope you have many happy nights (if sleepless) perusing GoodReads.

Nophoto-f-25x33 Well, I guess it's my turn, I kept meaning to give y'all my vital statistics, but kept forgetting...I was gonna reply to Marco anyway, and say...I am very interested in Egyptology, it probably started with the Boris Karloff 'Mummy' movies, and now have expanded to include in my curiosity the culture and mores of present-day Egypt. There is a Rosicrucian compound in San Jose, California, where I took a tour of a recreated pyramid and the guide explained what the artwork on the tomb walls meant...very fascinating.
