772262 Twitter is fun and you can catch interesting information.

Here is one that I will share if the offer is still there. If you go to nordstrom.com and look for their e.l.f. line all that line of makeup is $1. I order 25 things for 25 dollars. when the package came I felt like it was Christmas!

834245 I love it Meg(S)!

I will say I feel more free on Twitter because it's more anonymous (and I'm only friends/followers with peeps I really like) not like on facebook where I feel really exposed (even with not having my maiden name, high school/college, past jobs or our current location on my profile) and am now friends w/ people I don't like because Hubby tells people I'm on there when they ask if he is! (I've told him to knock that off). I am slowly working those people off my friends list (aka deleting them).

I also have a seperate facebook for Hubby's family because they're a catty bunch of gossipers (as if that's a real word) and I don't want them knowing any of my/our business!

I wasn't much for Twitter @ first but now really enjoy it.

772262 Sometimes Ipretend I am famous and tweet as if I am. It is weird I kind of take the personna of Perez Hilton or a publisher. It is really a fun little escape.

You are popular my friend!

834245 I feel flattered that I have followers most of the time... except the creepy ones and the ones trying to sell me things!

1144438 LOL! No, you should definitely feel flattered to have followers. I certainly do.

We had a funny discussion about this recently at a book club. One of the women there - a bookseller - says she knows everything Diana Abujabar (sp) has for dinner now. After we got over a nice laugh about that, someone said, "more than you need to know," and she replied, "no, actually. I find it oddly fascinating."

So mayhaps I should be tweeting for my dinner...

834245 I agree! "Followers" is too much like "stalkers" lol!

1144438 Twitter is such an interesting format. I'm never quite sure how much anyone really wants to hear from anyone else. I saw this morning that I made a list of 100+ best authors on Twitter, so I hope that means I'm striking something close to the right balance. But the idea of having "followers"? I'm more comfortable with the concept of "friends."

424383 A word of caution: I tried tweeting a book by creating an account for that title, but apparently it arrived in my twitter friend's pages who were on my other account. One of my best twitter friends banned me because it was such a nuisance. I had no idea all that time I was tweeting away! La, la, la, la, laaaah!

But then, perhaps you were talking about tweeting a book in a different sense, Meg.

772262 This will be so much fun!

1144438 Yes, absolutely, Meg. I love this idea! I don't think it's anything more complicated than folks tweeting whatever they'd like to say about The Wednesday Sisters on the paperback release date, which is Tuesday, May 5.

772262 I follow a lot of publishing companies on twitter. One of them asked about tweeting a book. I was wondering if you might be interested in doing that with this book. I haven't a clue how it would work but I think it might be fun as a "coming out party".
