I've been working my way through the Retriever series by Laura Anne Gilman. First two books were good, hopefully the series'll just keep getting better.
I just started reading The Year of Disappearences. It's the sequal to Society of S. So far, it's intriguing. I like the different perspective on vampires.
Just fiinished the Georgina kincaid series by Richelle mead which was amazing. Now i'm reading Fade Out by Raichel Caine. So far its really good.

You know of the 4 Odd Thomas books I have to say it was my least favorite, but I love Koontz and I love Odd!
just finishe reading Friday night Bites by Chloe Neill. It was eve better than the first book. Cant wait to read the next book. :D
I just got finished reading Odd Thomas...WOW! This book had me feeling all kinds of emotions while reading it. I was laughing, then wanting to shoot someone, then wanting to throw up, then just flat crying. I figured i knew how it would end and then a twist of the story made me doubt myself and then i was totally unprepared for the ending!
Now i am going to start the second book in the Odd Thomas series... Forever Odd
I just finished
, i have to say this is a good series, but i'm not in love with it! I love the character and the world but for some reason it's just not grabbing me like some other series do. Definitely going to continue with it tho. I'm currently reading

i'm currently reading Magic bites by Ilona Andrews
Magic Bites
so far so good. i'm not really that far along but right nw the only thing interupting me from reading..."
This series is one of the best series i have read!!! I love the characters in the series and I cant wait until the new one comes out next year!! It is too long to wait!
Reading The Society of S. started a few weeks ago, and put it on hold for other books, but coming back to it and enjoying the mystery adn the style of writing.
I'm almost finished "Broken" by Kelley Armstrong. I'm also reading "Exquisite Corpse" by Poppy Z. Brite. Next on the list is: "No Humans Involved" by Kelley Armstrong. I'm so excited that I am nearly finished the otherworld series, started reading it about 6 months ago.
i just finished Exit Strategy, and thought that it was amazing :) Currently reading Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins, and can hardly put it down!
Ok, so i've finally got Fairy Tale by Cyn Balog. And i've just finished book 6 in the Morganville Vampire series by Rachel Caine, it was a pretty good read.
Thanks again. No i didnt read Stolen but realized there must have been another 1 as I was reading Broken. Im alil upset about that but i will read it. I have a hold on 2 more books they seem to be hard to find at my local libraries
Meeka, you can find the chronological order of the Othwrworld series here: http://www.kelleyarmstrong.com/mSeries.h... click on the "Series in chronologocal order (novels only)". It makes it easier to see through how all the novels follow each other.
And have you read Stolen after Bitten? that is the 2nd book in the series, and the sequel of Bitten.

Thanks Stella, I will cont to muddle thru so i can get to Industrial Magic. Didnt realize that there was a real order my friend didnt tell me that. Im glad there is Im into character development as well as characters coming in contact with each other in the different books
Meeka, in my opinion it is best to read the books in order, to see everything (different species, events that happened, new characters, etc.) more clearly. I liked DSM, but its sequel (Industrial Magic) was even better! :-)
I'm reading Dime Store Magic by , its stared out kinda slow. This is only my 3rd otherworld seris book. I read Bitten awhile ago(given to me by a goodreads friend) I enjoyed it so recently i read Broken, I just love Elena n Clay.
I'm reading The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde, it is teh perfect light and fast read for the summer, kind of like an adult Harry Potter.
DarkHeart wrote: "Last night I started Greywalker by Kat Richardson. I've head good things about this series and thought I'd try it out as she's going to be at dragoncon."
Sorry but I found this book really really boring so good luck, I hope you like better than I did.
DarkHeart wrote: "Oh and I just finished listening to the audiobook of Magic Strikes by Ilona Andrews. I'd already read the book when it came out - but it's probably my favorite new release of the year, and I got sucked up in it all over again. Brilliant!"
I loved Magic Strikes too. Curran and Kate crack me up! I laughed so much at the last page.
I've recently finished Fire Study by Maria V. Snyder, not the strongest book of the Study series but it did wrap everything up. I also finished Marked by P.C. Cast & Kristin Cast which was ok.
I'm currently in the middle of Kissing Sin by Keri Arthur, the sequel to Full Moon Rising, which I'm finding difficult to get into. It's quite repetitive and I'm really tempted not to finish it.
I really enjoyed Blood Promise. It may not have furthered the story line on that much, but I think it was important for make the physical/emotional journey she did, and there were a lot of interesting reveals. I'm torn on Adrian. I love him to bits, but Dimiti... ;)
Last night I started Greywalker by Kat Richardson. I've heard good things about this series and thought I'd try it out as she's going to be at dragoncon.
Oh and I just finished listening to the audiobook of Magic Strikes by Ilona Andrews. I'd already read the book when it came out - but it's probably my favorite new release of the year, and I got sucked up in it all over again. Brilliant!
meh. i bought Blood Promise the day it came out. I feel like it was kind of pointless. Really, they're all kind of in the same situation that they were at the end of Shaddow Kiss, with minor variations.
I did, however, also enjoy Adrian.
Also just read Tricks, by Ellen Hopkins, and she can do no wrong. And finished L J Smith's The Fury, and Dark Reunion, and quite enjoyed it.
Reading The Laughing Corpse by Laurrel Hamilton, and The Society of S by Susan Hubbard.
Just finished Blood promise by Richelle Mead and...WOW! the ending was amazing. I'm really starting to like Adrian and wouldnt mind if him and rose got together. As for Dimitri...maybe theres still hope
Been awhile since i've updated... finished Obsidian Butterfly, thank god! Needed a break from Anita, so I went back to the brothers! Reading Lover Unbound! Not very far into it, but I love V & Butch!

Yh i've just started reading The Dead girls dance bk2, this YA series is ok so far and pretty interesting. But it isnt as developed as Vampire Acedemy.
Pride was actually my least favourite book in the shifters series buts its still really good. I think its coz i missed the Ranch and Malone pissed me off so much.
i love and adore The Vampire Academy.
So, i just finished Glass Houses, and I thought that it was ok. Last night, i finished Pride, and i think that the series is getting a lot better/showing a lot more potential. and i am about to start 'The Strain.'
I started reading The Vampire Academy series by Richelle mead 2 days ago and was immediatly hooked! I've finished reading Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy, #3) like 5 minutes ago and cannot wait for Blood promise. :)
yeah... it's kind of strange, and as of yet, I'm not really sure what the plot is. I only started today, and I already started on another book when i got bored 20 pages in..
Just finished YA fantasy THE SAFE-KEEPER'S SECRET by Sharon Shinn. I highly recommend it as it's a simple, original yet refreshing read with an unexpected twist.
Lucille wrote: "...I also just started Catcher In The Rye."
Oh dear, I feel sorry for you. It took me two months to read that book, I constantly found myself putting it down to do anything else other than read it.
Just finished Dante's 'Inferno,' an epic poem about his journey through Hell, and Ally Carter's 'I'd Tell You I Loved You, But Then I'd Have To Kill You.' I also just started Catcher In The Rye.
Amy wrote: "I've just finished CAST IN SILENCE by Michelle Sagara and I'm now starting ASHES TO ASHES by Jennifer Armintrout."
I received LEADER OF THE PACK by Karen MacInerney this morning in the post so ASHES TO ASHES was shelved and I read this instead. I couldn't put it down till I was finished!
I finished "Silence of the Lambs", awesome book, read "Suicide Blonde", not my favorite, very depressing book. Now I am reading "Lady Chatterly's Lover" and "The God's of Eden" I like them both! Lady is a classic book, so far it's a little slow. The gods are kind of eye opening, and would probably freak people out!
Hey Everyone, I just stumbled upon this group and since I love Kelley Armstrong's writing, couldn't be happier that there is a reading group dedicated to her novels! :-)
I just finished reading Broken for the first time and though Armstrong's writing style shines through and her bitingly sarcastic, funny dialogues are to die for, I found the main plot, the main mystery not too exciting..
I've just finished CAST IN SILENCE by Michelle Sagara and I'm now starting ASHES TO ASHES by Jennifer Armintrout.
Sarah wrote: "Reading The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. I wannid to read the book before i watch the film."
It's a brilliant book but I'll admit when it came to the the tragic feet part I wanted to do a Joey from Friends and put the book in the freezer!
I'm not sure I could watch the movie at the cinema. I just know I would walk out at the end with red puffy eyes and plenty of well used tissues!
Reading The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. I wannid to read the book before i watch the film. Destined for an Early Grave comes out tomorrow!
Sarah wrote: "I think i'm gonna start reading Once Bitten, Twice Shy by Jennifer Rardin. It has some good reviews so hopfully its as good as they say."
I read that recently and definitely recommend it. The second in the series is a little slower read, but still good.
I think i'm gonna start reading Once Bitten, Twice Shy by Jennifer Rardin. It has some good reviews so hopfully its as good as they say.
I just started reading Stray, and i'm also reading Rises The Night by Colleen Gleason, and yesterday I finished Jessica's Guide To Dating On The Dark Side. So far, Stray is intriguing, Rises The Night is pretty good, but Jessica's Guide was a bit disappointing.
I'm reading The Demon's Lexicon as it fulfills both demon and YA catgories for my July challenges. I'm not very far in yet, but it's an interesting premise and has received good reviews.
