That's not a bad start. You'll notice a wide variety of readers on here, some that are on book 100 or something like that and some that are about where you are. Some people even set different goals for the year. Just try and read a number you'll be happy with. I will probably do the same thing as you and keep clicking on your list instead of mine. We should be glad there aren't a lot more Donnas. ;-)
Thanks for your comment, Donna. I'll be happy with however many books I read this year as long as I'm always reading. Fifty is definitely ambitious for me, but what the heck!
13. Girl Meets God A Memoir 5.9I enjoyed this book for the first few chapters, reading about the traditions of Judaism, but after while it got to be too much and it was a chore to read. It is probably because of my rush to finish it that I missed the depth of understanding Lauren's conversion to Christianity. Although I read the words she wrote, I didn't feel them.
I did enjoy the descriptions of Lauren's relationships with her family, friends, and boyfriends, and how the dynamics changed with her conversion.
Overall, it was just ok for me. My 17-year-old daughter has been wanting to read it, but I told her she probably wouldn't like it.
