Jim Beaver (Deadwood, Supernatural, Harper's Island) only posted in one thread (the one about George Reeves, after the movie Hollywoodland came out) so he's not really a Doper, but he's a good guy, and he's published a memoir -- Life's That Way -- which will be released on April 16. It's a year in his life, told in e-mails, after his daughter was diagnosed with autism and his wife was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer.
Oh, and let's not forget former Doper Eve Golden. I haven't read any of her stuff yet but I plan to. Someone in my Yahoo group raves about her, says she writes the best film bios ever.
Do SDMB lurkers count? Today, I spent an hour reading a thread on knights and armour. I've been a fan for several years, but I never had the balls to leap into the fray. My lance is not pointy enough, I fear. And so I lurked in my hovel and wrote a novel, as jesters should.http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/92158...

The SDMB has a higher incidence of published authors than the population as a whole - which of them have people read?
