They might explain why I cant get a copy of our mutual friend. I'm sure I could order it but I keep thinking I will come across a secondhand copy or a new copy in a proper bookshop. But no- must be all the group members get ready for the alternative January read!

1478685 Well said, and true the same goes for me!

message 681: by Boof, Moderator (new)

1253478 I felt just the same when I found GR. I had finally found somewhere where people were as geeky as me when it comes to books and just want to talk about them and share their love of books. I don't know how I managed before I found this site - I had to keep all my excitements about the latest book all to myself. Now I have you guys!

message 680: by Hope (last edited 10 days ago, 01:55PM) (new)

1478685 Exactly! Oh, and thank you!

message 679: by Andrea (new)

1548050 Welcome, Hope! I must say, I don't know what I did before goodreads. I know I got very frustrated when none of my "real life" friends or co-workers had read a book I was reading so I had no one to discuss it with. No longer a problem!

message 678: by Lindz (new)

2485778 I am the same way!

message 677: by Hope (new)

1478685 Same with my 'real life' friends. I'm glad I've found this group too! It has been so wonderful to hear people who share my interests and opinions!

message 676: by Paula, Co-moderator (new)

1727075 Hope wrote: "I just wanted to let all of you know that it is really nice to be on goodreads because it is so easy to relate to you on this group because you are interested in the same things that I am and it is..."

We've all been there! I never had someone to discuss these books with before I stumbled on GR. My 'real life' friends read very different books than I do, if they read at all.

We are all bibliophiles to some extent and truly love discussions about specific books, books in general, book habits, etc. So glad you found us!!

message 675: by Hope (new)

1478685 I just wanted to let all of you know that it is really nice to be on goodreads because it is so easy to relate to you on this group because you are interested in the same things that I am and it is really great to know that someone understands. So, thank you!

message 674: by Hope (new)

1478685 Thanks:) I look forward to participating in this group!
