Do you know if this will be a standalone or part of the V.I Warshawski series?

1744604 I just got an e-mail froma British author who has become a good friend of mine. His name is Colin Campbell; he was a Yorkshire policeman for 30 years and has written a couple of police procedurals that I really enjoyed. They are very real and have the warped sense of humor that I happen to like.
He has been trying for almost two years with the help of a US agent to get a publishing deal here. Well, it has finally happened. He has a deal with Severn House and a book entitled "Blue Knight, White Cross" will be published in September. SmileyCentral.com

Cheryl did you ask him if they are going to release his book in e format, for the Kindle and Sony reader? I recognize Severn House and they have some books out in kindle format.

Gail, I haven't had a chance to ask anything. I just sent a note congratulating him. He promised I would be the first in the US to know (other than his agent, I guess), and he kept his word. I'll let you know when I find out.

730201 Oh you can bet I've already pre-ordered An Echo in the Bone from amazon.com

I am out reading of order with the Outlander series, and probably need to catch up before I read An Echo in the Bone. It may take me a while, especialy if I listen on audio again. :)

I have tried twice to read The Outlander and both times have put it down and not been compelled to go back to it. You'd think I'd love them as I like the time travel aspect, but the first one at least just has not grabbed me. This is one series where I'm sure I would be lost if I tried another one without reading that one first.

1937006 Melodie: referring to ]Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series, I read A Breath of Snow and Ashes first and probably missed some references, but found it stood well alone too. It has piqued my interest to read another, and it may be the next book. :)
