I CANNOT recommend these books enough! You can download the first one on PDF for free from the authors website http://www.karenmoning.com/, I got mine free on my kindle and fell in love with the series and had to buy and read the rest all within 2 weeks.

Her Highlander series is suppose to very good as well.

Right now I am reading Kiss of Midnight and so far I like it a lot.

Actually, that's her real name.

I've heard she's super nice.

426768 If you like some mystery with your PN there is also the Abby Cooper, Psychic Eye by Victoria Laurie series. Plus Galenorn/Yasmine has Ghost of a Chance aka Chinz and China series. I really like the Psychic Eye series, and unhappily Galenorn has said there will be no more of the Chinz and China books. She's sticking to writing PN now.

2767177 Ok, I've just finished Destined for an Early Grave last night...and now am depressed since i wont get to read about Bones for a while. After reading 4 books in 4 days....saturated with Bones...and then NUTTIN.

Anyone know what series to read that helps with the Bones withdrawal....

So far i've read all off Kenyon, Ward & Moning. I have Gabaldon & Ione on the bookshelf waiting to be read, but will those take my mind of Bones?
If anyone has any other recommended series, please suggest! :)

Caramelle - I couldn't check your read list but have you gone through the Sookie Stackhouse series yet? They are a bit lighter than the 'slaying type' of series, but completely addicting. That should keep your mind occupied for a bit.

Do you ever get into reading any YA? I know its sometimes hard to go from a series into a YA one (a lot less steeeeam...:) ), but the Vampire Academy Series is really good and addicting - Dimitri in those is delish or you could try to get into Jace from The Mortal Instruments Trilogy...I could NOT put those books down and Jace has become one of my top leading men.

I just started the Cat and Bones world now and am really liking it so far...so hopefully you can get into any of the ones listed above as well. Good luck!!

I love Bones, he's just one of those character's you have to tell your friends about :) one of my favorites. Ther first ones I read after Destined for an early Grave was Storm Born & Thorn Queen. I really liked those, but there were only 2 :(

If you like YA like Laura said above Vampire Academy & The Mortal Instruments are both great.

Gabaldon will suck you in and take your mind of anything and everything......or at least it did for me. They are very detailed and can be emotionally draining at times but Diana Gabaldon has me totally in love with Jamie Fraser.

2505272 Caramelle -- (can't see your read list, so I apologize if you've already read any of the following)

I went through Bones withdrawal after ending the Night Huntress books that are published. There are some short stories with Bones (like the one in Unbound ).

If you're looking for a series, I enjoyed the Rachel Vincent SHIFTERS / WERECATS series. I liked Cat in Night Huntress because she is Kick-butt, and the main female in the shifters series is also kick-butt. Only problem is she can grate on your nerves. Still, I recommend trying the series out if you like lots of action :) The first book in the series is called Stray. There are 4 books out so far, and I know there at least 6 to be made.

I also enjoyed reading Charlaine Harris' Sookie series post-Night Huntress. First book = Dead Until Dark. There are 9 books out, plus short stories...

One of my favorite new series is a trilogy -- 2 books out are The Hunger Games and Catching Fire. Both of those were definitely exciting. Unfortunately, you have to wait for the 3rd book in the trilogy, though :( You'll notice that both of those are rated 4.5+ average stars on GoodReads. I think that is a good indication of how exciting they are to read! :)

Series mentioned:
Stray (Shifters, #1) Dead Until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse, #1) The Hunger Games (Hunger Games, #1)

2767177 Thanks to the following: Lara, Andrea, Jessa & FlibBityFLooB

So the following are suggested:
- Sookie Stackhouse
- Vampire Academy
- Mortal Instruments [which i have...but haven't read yet..i dont understand why i haven't read em...:]
- Dark Swan series
- Shifters series
- Outlander series [series that i have and was one of my choices:]
- Hunter Games series
- Unbound anthology - ft. a short story with Bones!

wow. Now i REALLY cant decide! lol!
I guess I'll go to my nearest bookstore and browse through the mentioned books to see what i get hooked on first!

Thank-you very much for the suggestions!

2496970 Hey Caramelle,

Enjoy, there are a lot of good stories there. I miss still miss Bones but . . . Jace, Demitri, Dorian and the rest are a good distraction.

I second, third & fourth this rec. I haven't read the Night Huntress series yet (starting it next month! yeah!), so I can't fully comprehend the depths of your Bones withdrawl, but Jamie Fraser is pretty much the perfect man, so I'm confident he'll take care of you. :)

Were these books any good? I have them on my to buy list... I have heard they are

2656435 Whilst you're talking about great series, how about Meljean Brooke? I find her books as well as those of Devon Monk, fascinating.
I've also started reading the Dirk and Steele series by Marjorie M Liu - shape shifters and everything else you can think of.

2878675 Okay I have obviously got to read the Night Huntress Series everyone keeps mentioning it in these discussions.
Here are some series I have enjoyed I absolutely love the Fever Series. Riley Jenson Series, Sookie Series, Cassie Palmer Series, Vampire Academy, Mortal Instruments, House of Night Series, Destiny Kills (It is the only book out in the series so far.), Midnight Breed Series, Lora Leigh's Breed Series. Hope those help.

1365355 I've been meaning to read Liu. Brook I'm still iffy about.

1113032 I don't know if this is PNR or not, but my daughter loves C.L. Wilson's Tairen Soul series. The final book came out today.

The books are:

1. Lord of the Fading Lands
2. Lady of Light and Shadows
3. King of Sword and Sky
4. Queen of Song and Souls
