1847538 Looking through your list, I'll recommend some of my favorites that you don't seem to have read:

J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood
Adrian Phoenix's The Maker's Song
Jeaniene Frost's The Night Huntress
Lara Adrian's Midnight Breeds

** Not all strictly PNR, but all with strong romantic elements and great reads.

1313648 Some of my fav PNR series are:
Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld
Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan
Yasmine Galenorn's Sisters of the Moon
Carrie Vaughn's Kitty Norville

426768 Sandra Hill--Time Traveling Vikings.

Michelle Bardsley--Broken Heart OK series (vampires and werewolves and monsters, oh my)

Lynsay Sands--Argeneau Vampires

Kerrelyn Sparks--Vegas Vampires (LOVE the idea of Blissky (blood and whiskey), and Chocolood(chocolate with Blood) for expanding the vampire diet)

Michelle Rowen--Fanged and Fabulous series

message 9: by Kristina (new)

2032566 I've read Sherrilyn Kenyon, Lynsay Sands, and Kerrelyn Sparks. those are 3 of my fav.

message 10: by Dawn (new)

1597979 I tend to read more urban fantasy than PNR but here are a few that I do not see on your list:

Jeanne C Stein - Anna Strong Chronicles
Patricia Briggs - Mercy Thompson
Karen Chance Cassandra Palmer
Eileen Wilks - World of the Lupi
Vicki Pettersson - Sign of the Zodiac

*** I loved Bitten and Smitten - Fanged and Fabulous is on my TBR

281632 I'd like to suggest Larissa Ione's Demonica series:

1. Pleasure Unbound
2. Desire Unchained
3. Passion Unleashed

Oh I second and third that proposal. Those demon brothers are sizzling hot.

1113032 I'm thinking of trying out Gene Showalter's LOTU series, but there seems to be some confusion. I've seen The Darkest Fire listed as the first book, but Barnes and Noble lists The Darkest Night as book 1. I can't even find The Darkest Fire.

Anyone have any insight?

message 14: by Adrienne (new)

2087365 The only one i've heard of *The Darkest Fear* which is listed as a prequel::does this help::or am i barking up the wrong tree:)::

message 15: by Melinda (new)

1966433 The correct order of Showalter's LOTU series is:

The Darkest Fire {prequel}
The Darkest Night {Maddox's story}
The Darkest Kiss {Lucien's story}
The Darkest Pleasure {Reyes' story}

However, The Darkest Fire is only an ebook novella. It's the prequel to the other books. You can certainly begin with The Darkest Night without reading the prequel and still follow along. Enjoy the series! I liked it.

message 16: by Adrienne (new)

2087365 *Darkest Fear* Ha Ha:: think that may have been a freudian slip sori:)::

message 17: by Adrienne (new)

2087365 I think my new series may be Lara Adrians *Breeds*::i was given *Kiss of Midnight* as part of the RRR April Pick it for me::what i've readso far is v good::

Nophoto-f-25x33 I just started the Sign of Seven Trilogy by Nora Roberts, and I'm enjoying it.

That was a great series!

355739 Uniquely Moi, The Darkest Fire was available on www.wattpad.com last time I checked.

I actually liked it better than the rest of the Lords series!

Thank you! I actually did find it there and will read it soon :)

355739 I feel slightly guilty reading things off of there, but hey, I read the Southern Vamps on there and then proceeded to buy the books anyway! Same with Dark Hunter, LKH, and Mercy Thompson. I pacify my guilty feelings by telling myself I'm just using it to "test run" authors.

:)

And I'm so thankful because I do the same thing. I will buy them if I like them, even if I read them somewhere else first...so I am thankful to have a place to preview them.

I just finished the Darkest Night and I thought it was really good. I already picked up the rest of the series and plan on reading it this month..

message 25: by Adrienne (new)

2087365 Michelle::i'm just over halfway thru::really enjoying it::can see that i'll be wanting to read the rest::was going to look for the other books in the series but have had internet probs::only just got it back::will look now::

1806530 Wow there are so many great suggestions on here I'll have to check out myself. I happen to like Angela Knights (Mageverse series), It was the only one I didn't see on your list or above.

message 27: by Sarah (new)

1081001 Ilona Andrews - Kate Daniels series
Carrie Vaughn - Kitty Norville series
Patricia Briggs - Mercedes Thompson series

Have you read Linnea Sinclair? She writed romances with a touch of paranormal (like telepathy) set in the future, so there is a sci-fi element as well. Try An Accidental Goddess, Gabriel's Ghost (this one is written in 1st person), or Games of Command.

Wow! What a list. I fear my TBR is never going to be under control. Thanks for all the recommendations....

message 32: by Michelle M. (new)

355739 There is no such thing as controlling the TBR. It is a wild thing that laughs in the face of your feeble attempts.

Makes it sound sort of sinister, doesn't it!

2087365 hello:: i was in a bookshop today::when am i not in a bookshop?::and found a series called *sisters of the moon* by Yasmine Glenorn::i know some of you have read at least one of these books::are they any good?::

message 34: by Yz (new)

434780 Adrienne,

We read Witchling, the first book, as our BOM read in one of the groups, and most of us struggled to finish it.

message 35: by Dawn (new)

1597979 Adrienne To me it felt like I was reading a bad episode of Charmed. I tried to read the second one to see if it got better and when the girl states that she is a human virgin but experienced as a cat with other cats I could read no more.

1113032 I picked up Witchling in a Borders bookstore and thumbed through it. Decided it wasn't for me.

message 37: by Ann (new)

426768 Control the TBR pile? Surely you jest. Don't you know books are like rabbits? Turn your back on them for a second and they double or triple their numbers instantly. :o)

1113032 Ann wrote: "Control the TBR pile? Surely you jest. Don't you know books are like rabbits? Turn your back on them for a second and they double or triple their numbers instantly. :o)"

Is that how it happens? They never taught me that at librarian school! Thank you, now I understand!

I'm speechless.

I am so right there with you.

What? I was agreeing with you.

message 43: by Sue (new)

1627559 Have you seen my TBR list? It is beyond out of control! and I keep adding to it. Thanks to all of you I will have books for eons. ;O)

message 44: by Michelle M. (new)

355739 Sorry, Uniquely Moi! That was more of my reaction! Delayed, I know. I thought about the cat thing for a bit more and still couldn't come up with anything more intelligent than WTF. Not aimed at you at all!!!

message 45: by Michelle M. (new)

355739 Funny...imagine if I really HAD suddenly become some nasty misanthropic poster who Turret'ed my way across the boards, cursing people out for no discernible reason?

"You agree with me?! How dare you! Screw you!"

Lol.

Sorry you thought it was for you!

message 47: by Jael (new)

1157941 LOL @ Michelle. I would be LMAO throughout all the discussion boards

1113032 ROFLMAO @ Michelle and Jael... there are boards just like that here. I came across a Haters Group... crap! That's all I can say about it... crap!

message 49: by Jael (new)

1157941 I think I'll check that group especially for a good laugh.

message 50: by Michelle M. (new)

355739 Ah, ignorance. It may not be bliss, but it sure can be funny.
