1658297 I'm super-behind on posting these:

Fairest - Gail Carson Levine
Rebekah: Women of Genesis - Orson Scott Card
The Gargoyle - Andrew Davidson
Olive Kitteridge - Elizabeth strout
The Little Prince - Antoine de Saint Exupery
The Yada Yada Prayer Group - Neta Jackson
The Yada Yada Prayer Group Gets Down - Neta Jackson
Ysabel - Guy Gavriel Kay
My Life in France - Julia Child

I'm definitely doing this again next year. Even though it didn't stop me from buying more books or asking for more books as gifts it did help me a lot. I still have about 60 books plus all my borrowed books to get through.

I'm hoping for at least one more book this year. I have 28 so far. MUCH MUCH better than I even dreamed of!

1658297 So I kinda fell of the wagon and bought myself a few bestsellers. But hey...I've proved to myself I CAN read books as I buy them now. Plus I had a baby. I deserve SOMETHING!

Here's the ones I read since last time I posted:
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - Stieg Larsson
Glory Revealed - David Nasser
The Reader - Bernhard Schlink
Lament of the Lamb - Vol 2 (manga)
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society - Mary Ann Shaffer

I really liked the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Reader.

1658297 I read Prince of Lost Places: A Novel by Kathy Hepinstall

and

The Irresistible Revolution by Shane Claiborne

I love seeing my TBR books on my bookshelf get finished. It's starting to get exciting! It might be more fun if I made an actual list but I know I'd never stick to it and they wouldn't get read!

1658297 I just finished A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett

Apparently I have had this book since 1992!

1658297 Hi all! So, I realized I need to stop buying books on a whim because I have around 70 I own and probably around 15 or so "borrowed" sitting on my shelf (although library book sales are inevitable and I cannot be blamed for taking advantage of the 5 for a dollar pricing on fiction books). I've decided to make an effort to get through of some of these, particulary the nonfiction started during university and never finished but it would be nice to get through many of the fiction books as well.

Here's what I've read so far this year:
Whitney, My Love by Judith McNaught
Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer
The Heretic Queen by Michelle Moran

Technically, I'm not sure if I should include the last two since I didn't wait too long to read them, but I DO own them and they didn't end up all lonely looking on my shelves so I'd like to at least mention them!
