I'm new here as well, I've recently discovered the wonders of Goodreads, and I don't think this group is going to help my addiction!
No, we won't help your addiction at all, we will make it grow at a rate that might just scare you. ;)

There is a book-ban thread though if you want to make a pledge of abstinence. :D Welcome to TNBBC and GR... we'll help your book pile grow even if you are on a ban.

If you are looking for a cure... uhm.. no, you came to the wrong place.

Hi Lindsey, welcome. One of my very favorite books recently is set in Nova Scotia: The Birth House. You live in a special place.
And the others are right, the members here will do nothing to help curtail your addiction.
Hi Lindsey! Welcome to the group. I joined this group in Oct/Nov last year and this was the first book club I ever joined. In no time, I was addicted and now I have more than 1000 posts in my account. We all are very friendly and helping around here, so just chill out and get addicted.

Haha It's already growing at a rate that will scare me, I'm just glad to find other people who share the same addiction as me!

haha I don't think I'm reading for the abstinence, I am graduating from my degree soon, so I think this group will help me spend the money I'm saving from no longer paying tuition!

I'm glad to hear you call it a speical place though, most people who have read anything about this place have read "On South Mountian" which is not such a happy story about a town/family here!
