I like the variety there! I would tell you the books on mine but I just killed my battery for the day listening to Dragonfly in Amber on a long drive. :)

2108137 I am a one book at a time person and I do not let myself download a new book, until I finish the one I am reading. This also helps me keep my spending in check. I also delete each book after I read it. I guess part of having my Kindle is to de-clutter and I don't want to use it as a storage device.

I do have several samples and my current book; The Magicians Nephew, by C.S. Lewis. I actually read this when I was in the 6th grade. Since they just released the Narnian Chronicles in Kindle format, I thought I would try reading them in the original order.
I just finished "The Thirteenth Tale" which was excellent.

I try to be a one book at a time person. But some times i have to read 2 books at a time because i just can't get into the other book.

317110 I, too, will spare you the long list - I have 23 pages of books on Ramses (yes, my Kindle has a name). Some I have purchased, some freebies, a lot of public domain books that I have converted. Mostly fiction - some sci-fi and fantasy, some mysteries and thrillers.

What is the original order of the Chronicles - I have them all on my K as well.

message 15: by Cuechick (new)

2108137 Well, there is a difference in the order they were published and the actual chronological order. I read them in the published order first time around. I am now reading them the other way..

check here under "reading order" for details...

881573 I would prefer to keep the list small, but I went a little crazy when K2 arrived. :) I usually am a two book person - reading one book and listening to another when driving, cleaning, etc. I also delete from K when finished.

Currently:
Cash: Personal Finance for Real People (wkly mag)
Dragonfly in Amber (audio)
The Help
Guernsey Literary Society
The Young Wan
Eat, Pray, Love (read it but like to return for inspiration)
Year of Pleasures
Revolutionary road
Why We Suck
Private
Never Tell a Lie
Three Cups of Tea
Several Charlie Huston books
The Handmaid's Tale

It's okay. Mine's named Kincaid, and my husband's is nicknamed K-bot.. but I call him Kinnison. LOL!! We got a little stupid and punchy when they arrived :)

That WAS a good one. That was an audiobook for me. The narrator was really good, too!

I'm just finishing up a dead-tree version of "Anointed" which is an ARC I picked up from twitter. It was REALLY good. I think my next K-book will be "Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet" by Jamie Ford.

Nophoto-f-25x33 I also have pages of books. When I run out of space I will delete them. I use public transportation, and I e-mailed all of the bus and train schedules from the transit authority web sites to my kindle. I no longer have to stuff paper copies of t5he schedules into my purse!

Nice! On the Kindle forums on Amazon there are some funny threads about naming your Kindle. My husband's does not have a name, but collectively our Kindles are referred to as the Ks.

I'm with you - I remove each book when I finish. It's one of the things I like about K2. On my old Kindle the "Content Manager" got out of control!

My Kindle's name is Sookie after the main character of the first book I read on her! (Can you guess?)

There are also a few threads about naming your Kindle over on Kindleboards.com, where I like to hang out! We'd love to have you join us....come on by! :-)

We "purists" insist on reading in the original order of publication. One of the reasons, for me, at least, is that the story is better if you don't know everything at the beginning ... the current ordering is based on the order of events in the stories ...

The Magician's Nephew
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
A Horse and His Boy (the action takes place during the timeline of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe)
Prince Caspian
Voyage of the Dawn Treader
The Silver Chair
The Last Battle

Wikipedia goes into quite a bit of detail over the reading order controversy.

1658252 I have 17 books in my kindle to read. Mostly freeby. I just love it. I have to get back on Kindleboard.com to get more books. I am addicted to books.

message 25: by Jeanne (new)

2616284 I have 3 Excel spreadsheet pages of books. I am currently reading the Kindle version of Thripz by Robert Farley. Good grief I just counted and I have 45 books to be read.

I agree with Jacqueline about book addiction. I check every day for free or low cost or indie authors. I still read well known authors, too.

message 26: by Sarah (new)

2537186 I, too, have about 25 pages of books, mostly public domain and freebies. Thanks to you who talked about Kindleboard.com - I just checked it out and it is a really cool site!
