I also belong to the 50 Books a Year Group and the 75 Books a Year Group, so we'll see which one I reach! Here are the books I've read so far this year, in particular order:
1. Lincoln's Greatest Speech The Second Inaugural
2. What Would Jackie Do? An Inspired Guide to Distinctive Living
3. Scarpetta
4. Flapper A Madcap Story of Sex, Style, Celebrity, and the Women Who Made America Modern
5. The Great Influenza The Epic Story of the Deadliest Plague in History
6. Letters to a Young Poet
7. Our Ladies of the Tenderloin Colorado's Legend in Lace
8. The Rules of Life A Personal Code for Living a Better, Happier, More Successful Life
9. The Devil in the White City Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair that Changed America
10. Slumdog Millionaire A Novel
Deserves The Schack all the fuss? It´s so pop here in Brazil but I didn´t have the chance to read it, yet.
Yes! I thought it was all hype too, but it is really fascinating, insightful and touching. I highly recommend it.
32. Don't Sweat the Small Stuff with Your Family Simple Ways to Keep Daily Responsibilities and Household Chaos from Taking Over Your Life
I did. It was a little legalese-y, but since I have worked as a paralegal, I found that interesting. Definitely recommend it.
