If you are following me on twitter and I'm not following you back, please give me a nudge. I haven't been keeping up with my follow notifications very well. But I don't want to miss the chance to connect with anyone in this group, so please don't be shy about telling me that I've missed you.
Thanks!
My twitter name is AnnKingman.
I already follow Ann on Twitter (and you follow me), and will add Michael as well. I've just started listening to your podcasts and following this group on GoodReads, and enjoy them a lot. My twitter name is K_BasenEngquist.
Let's open this to: if you're a member of this goodreads group and on twitter, put your handle here. I'd be interested in following my fellow goodreaders (be prepared Karen and Melissa).I'm sawinkler

Wow, at this rate I may have to add a separate column in Tweetdeck for our BOTNS friends. Fantastic, and thank you!
I'm already following both Ann and Michael.
I like Ann's idea of a separate column in Tweetdeck for our BOTNS friends ;-)

I am a new twitter-er. My twitter name is bibliosue.
I'm doing it the old-fashioned way, though, because the cellphone I have only makes phone calls!
Suzanne,I like how, by "old-fashioned," you mean "on the computer."
Does that put pen and paper in the "ancient" category?
Probably yes, though I still love sending and receiving handwritten letters/notes. My nieces and nephew are still young enough that they get a huge thrill from getting their own mail so I do my part to keep the "ancient" art alive!
Regarding the "ancient" art...I'm a calligrapher, so I suppose that would be considered a TRULY ancient art! Years ago, when I first began addressing my personal Christmas cards in calligraphy, I got calls from people who said they were going to save the envelopes because they couldn't believe how pretty they were, and that they'd made it "all the way across town" (?!?!) and still looked so nice...My most challenging project was inscribing a keepsake family bible from a father to his daughter for her wedding. (When I do wedding invitations, poetry, and the like, I always have "spares" but in this case, I had one shot at getting it perfect, without any wiggles or inkblots.) I banned my three young sons from the dining room while I was working and, I'm happy to report, all turned out well.
Ancient: I studied hand bookbinding for a few years, and one of my favorite styles of bookbinding is Coptic binding, which is from the 10th century Egyptian Copts. I never got around to it, but one of my ideas was to make a coptic-stitch journal and construct the covers from computer chips.

Ann, what a GREAT idea...the dichotomy of using an ancient binding technique with a symbol of 21st century technology is an awesome idea...do it!!
Hi, just joined Goodreads and need to move over some of my database from Living Social on Facebook. You can find me on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/tgruber.
This came in on a friend's tweet...I didn't realize how popular NING apparently is.

I just got back into Twitter so it's cool to find out you guys are on there. My Twitter name is jennylucas.
Well, to continue the confusion and the aliases, I, Linda, here known as lmj am tcheer4life on Twitter. Also, I'm not sure of how to do this on Twitter yet (I only joined Twitter as a way to gain information when we Ohioans were fighting for our public library's lives at the end of June).
For Ann - today's Springfield (Ohio) News Sun has recipes which present bacon as a desert, should I save them for you (in response to your so many tomatoes so much leftover bacon)
For Michael - my favorite chef Kathleen Daelemans was on the Today Show's last hour yesterday talking about packing healthy lunches for kids. I'm sure you could go to the today show website and watch the clip.
And to all - how do we get any reading done with all this blogging and twittering and facebooking? The book is so much more inviting, but if there's one thing I like to do as much as reading a book is talking about books!
Linda, so sorry I was confused -- I didn't make the connection between you here and on twitter. I'll go follow you back right now.And sadly, there's no leftover bacon, but I can always cook more. Bacon as dessert? Count me in. Vosges chocolate bar with bacon is my all time-fave.
If you need some help with twitter, give a yell.
