Trike | 2116 comments I am about halfway through part 4 of this excellent story (stories) and have been enjoying them immensely.

Every once in a while, though, I run across a solitary typo: Howey consistently uses "silicone" when he means to use "silicon." Because the rest of the book is error-free (he even uses the correct spelling of "jamb"!), this really jumps out at me.

The weird thing is, every time I see this typo my brain immediately starts playing The Boomtown Rats' "I Don't Like Mondays" because of the song's first line. Of course, given the gun control debate now raging in America, this has extra depth when applied to the story, especially contrasted with the characters struggling to maintain a working environment sealed in their silo against a toxic atmosphere and the political machinations that is sending people unjustly to their deaths.

As if it weren't obvious from the previous paragraph, the thoughts the song inspires in my muddled mind are not altogether formed, but I felt a need to share. Despite the subject matter of the song, based on a school shooting in 1979 Bob Geldof heard about while hanging out in a radio station, it is beautifully tragic.
