Regarding the Bell Jar, it was ok. I thought it was weird that everything started out normal and then it was almost as if she flipped a switch and the writing and story just changed suddenly. It was like it mirrored Plath's life.

1230903 (An English teacher's aside)Young ladies in Austin's time were looked down on for reading her 'fluff'. Dickens was serialized in the newspaper, and Harper Lee had one heck of a time getting her book published. Not that I think all of today's fluff will become classic, but I betcha some of it will!
