This isn't a category of romance books I'm comfortable with, but ran across it while signing up for other giveaways and thought I'd repost it for those of you who do like to read it.
The Heaven Sent series is available for purchase at loose-id.com. You can also probably find them on fictionwise.com or allromanceebooks.com
If you're looking to get started in the m/m genre, we'd love to help you out! Come join our m/m romance group. We have a thread to discuss what we're currently reading, and we also have a pretty extensive book shelf that has been well tagged so if you're looking for a specific type of book, that would be a good place to look.
Follow this link to the group page: M/M Romance Group
The group is private due to the adult content of both the books on the bookshelf and the discussions in the threads, but as long as you're over 18 go ahead and request to join and one of the moderators will let you in.
I would like to thank Kenjii of lending me her ebook of Heaven sent. I really liked and i am looking for more books. I am currently on the hunt for 3-6 for the heaven sent series and /or and other books. Can you give me some help?
Thanks for posting! I'll check it out. I can read just about any theme, as long as the characters and storyline interest me.
Special Forces is a free online novel. The link to it is :

The first couple of chapters are rough to read but after that I was hooked.
I haven't read all the other posts but my absolute favorite m/m is Special Forces which is a free online read. It was amazing....
Most of us tend to hang out at the group Mod_Lori mentioned above and wowsers - they keep me on my everlovin' m/m readin' toes LOL I've found so many new books and authors to read and I thought I knew a lot before joining the group. It's also fun because m/m writers hang out there, too, and join in the various discussions :)
...and i just spent the last hour or so looking at beautifulmag.eu, it was well worth it! Although the partners not impressed!
holy crap. First off, i never knew that so many people were interested in m/m!!! I fully need some more book buddies so i can gossip with them. And secondly, i always bloody find the interesting threads months and months after they've been started, I'm so behind!!!
Come check out the group http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/2014... It's our own little place to dish about hot man love :)

I love Sean's writing (and the Jarheads) but this 'romantic' versus 'erotic' story was a joy to read.

I had the same problem with this story. If a story has a lot of sex in it, there has to be a lot of love too, and I just wasn't feeling it here. Laura Baumbach's A Bit of Rough is a good example of hot sex and great lovin'. I did rather like Joey, though, and may have to check out Collision Course.
I'm reading The Broken Road by Sean Michael. If you're familiar with Sean, you know that a lot of what he writes is mostly sex with a little plot thrown in to tie the sex scenes together. Think Jarheads. This book is completely different. There hasn't even been any sex yet and I'm 1/3 of the way in. It's a fabulous story though. He really is good at creating interesting characters and when he focuses on the story, it's really wonderful.

Really? I enjoyed that book a lot. Just read Collision Course which is a sequel and all about Joey. I liked that one too.
I'm strictly M/M too these days and have no interest in anything else.
Currently reading Diving in Deep by K.A. Mitchell.
One of those (rare) instances of too much sex. There's, like, zero story here. I'm finding it exhausting and difficult to finish. I'm disappointed, it sounded so good.
But you all will be happy to know I seem to have lost interest in any other genre. I'm strictly m/m right now. We'll see if I can make a significant dent in that m/m e-book library I seem to have acquired.
Am on the last one now - in fact, the scene I'm up to is where Tobias and Noah have just switched and Noah is relating it all back to Phantom (which, by the way, is not a name I'm so impressed with LOL) and it upsets him. Tobias has just explained to him that it's not punishment, it's to ground him which, for some reason totally unknown to me, actually makes sense. And now they're in sitting together talking about contracts heh
Oh hey, another book? I'm definitely up for another book!

I totally agree with you. Tobias has so much control and his focus is always on his sub. Have you read all of them yet? They just get better and better in my opinion. I heard they are writing at least one more.
Have been reading the Deviations series and wowsers! The whole Dom/sub theme is not my kink is - you know, I'm not sure what my kink but that ain't it LOL Although, I did enjoy the stories very much. So much so, in fact, that a couple of friends and I discussed the ideas and boundaries of the book at work. I'd read some of Lora Leigh's m/f or egads m/m/f and m/m/m/m/f well you get the point of the pairings (no m/m in sight) and it seemed kinda self-destructive. But hot - oh gawd the conflict LOL So this series, I liked that it made it a relationship, and it didn't scare me witless with whips and crops and paddles. I mean, sure, they used them, but every time they did they also told you why, and how. There was none of this yank it out and belt someone with it and not really understand what the point of it was. I also liked the way they built up to pushing boundaries - at all times the sub was aware of exactly what was coming next. They weren't chucked in at the deep end and expected to fend for themselves. And omg it was a tearjerker *sniffs* and wow, where are the hot cops, I ask you LOL Not in my neighbourhood, that's for sure! And the scenes! The role-playing was fabulous - the way Noah could switch on and pull out all the stops to really get into character.
I read the Blue Ruin series and, as much as I liked Blue and Derek, I think I much preferred the quality of the Tobias/Noah pairing over theirs. No denying the hotness factor of Blue/Derek but, for emotional depth, Tobias/Noah are my pick. But for quick and dirty well it's Blue and Derek eh LOL

Love the new avatar pic, Lori!

Oh, wow, that's a good one... I might need a fan.
I ended up devouring both Revelations and Off the Beaten Path last night. I enjoyed both of them, though I have to say Revelations is probably the weakest of the Heaven Sent series. Characters were good and it was a fun read, I just didn't ever feel the intensity that I expect from Jet Mykles, I guess. I didn't feel the urgency of the romance. I guess that's what happens when you have three people instead of two.
Off the Beaten Path was really good; everyone should read it!
Has just now purchased Revelations by Jet Mykles (book 6 in the Heaven Sent series) and is off to read it. And prob re-read it. And, knowing me, prob re-read it again. Just to make sure I didn't miss anything LOL Expect to see me in a couple of days :) Am so excited I could pee my pants...but won't.

I read cupcake confessions before I read Catching a Buzz so I'll have to back and re-read it. I bought Revelations today too. I'll have to go get Katrina's new one too. I need a second job just for my book purchases.
Did you read the follow up short to Catching a Buzz on Ally's web site? It's called Cupcake Confessions. It was really short but very cute.
I just downloaded Revelations (6.99 for an e-book? I have a couple paperbacks I'm planning to pick up today that will only cost me $5.24 at Target!), and Katrina Strauss had one released today called Off the Beaten Path that looked really good, so I got that one as well. They're both on loose id.
I love Ally Blue too. Willow Bend was a wonderful love story. I just started the Bay City Paranormal series a couple of days ago and love it. Have read the first two already. Catching a Buzz was really good too. I loved Buzz.
I became completely Ally Blue obsessed over the last week. I devoured pretty much everything she's written except for the Bay City Paranormal series, which I'm planning to tackle next. :)
She just excels at creating characters that I fall in love with and want to spend time with. Not a lot of m/m writers that leave me thinking about their characters after I've finished the book and wishing I didn't have to leave them. But all of her stuff is like that!
I'm glad I still have the Bay City Paranormal series to go, and I still need to get Dragon's Kiss. Once I've finished all my Ally Blue stuff I'm not going to know what to do with myself.
I don't have a real Kindle I just have the Kindle application on my iPhone. I've never really looked for books anywhere but Amazon. I haven't used the app a whole lot, but I wanted some new m/m books and didn't want to spend much money, but I sawthe Kindle books were alot less.Just finished up Willow Bend by Ally Blue. I absolutely loved it. It was A big swith from Deviations, as there is pretty much no kink (not that there isn't hot sex), but the relationship in the story is great. I thoughtthe characters seemed really believable.
Eep! An octopus shifter LOL Hell, you know I have to read that. Will have to hunt it up and buy it :D Thanks for the tip!
I have a Kindle and I hardly ever buy books from Amazon. At fictinwise and at Alllromancebooks.com when you buy books from them they have a kindle option that emails your books right to your kindle for you, just like you bought it from Amazon. It does cost .15 cents per book from Amazon, but if you are part of the fictionwise club (deep, deep discounts) and with the Allromanceebooks.com by 10 get 1 free, it is still a WAY better deal to buy from those places then amazon. Additionally, at FW and ARe you can also download your purchase in PDF so that you can read them on your computer easily if you don't want to read from your Kindle (like on a break at work, etc). At other sites, .prc can be read on your Kindle and so can pdf but pdf doesn't always format correctly.
Lori wrote: "Well, I just read the first two books of the Deviations series, because the Kindle versions were available for super cheap. Unfortunately, I just went to download the third one and the next two are..."Have you checked Fictionwise? They have four Deviations books, and one of their formats is supposed to be compatible w/the Kindle. I think you can email the book to your device. Also, check out Allromanceebooks.com. According to them, the unsecured mobipocket .prc books can be read on the Kindle. I don't have a Kindle, so I really don't know about the entire process.
Well, I just read the first two books of the Deviations series, because the Kindle versions were available for super cheap. Unfortunately, I just went to download the third one and the next two are not available for Kindle. I'm pretty bummed. So i am off tocheck the top five pole to lok for some new series or even single books I might be able to download.
I just read Baumbach's A Bit of Rough, and I loved it.Tosca, have you read Ally Blue's Eight Arms To Hold You? I think it's part of The Collector series. It has an octopus shifter in it, and I'm curious.
Read The Lost Temple of Karttikeya by Laura Baumbach, which is book 9 in The Collector series, about a half of which are m/m and the other half are m/f. I enjoyed it, although (and I'm still not sure this is a total complaint LOL) there was the longest ever - uhh how do I put this delicately - rimming scene - yeah, there is no 'delicately' doh. I swear to goshness it went on forever. Was reading the ebook and either I was really tired or just not feeling it because I dozed off partway through and got the fright of my life when my Uber Twitter alert went off and my phone started vibrating...right under my forehead. Doh. I liked the two main characters, thought the current boyfriend (soon to be ex) was a total knob, and kinda got a bit lost in the story when they were captured in the cave. But I did like it! Even though it sounds like I didn't LOL
Chris Owen and Jodi Payne:
Deviations: Submission
Deviations: Domination
Deviations: Discipline
Devaitions: Bondage
Thanks Lori!
I will let you know how it goes. what is the first book for the Deviation series or who is the Author?
im comming to you for all my M/M suggestions heheh.
I can't believe that nobody likes Hell. He is definately my favorite. And for some reason I like tiny little doms.
I've been hearing good things about the velvet Glove series but haven't read it. I will have to check it out, along with Deviations.
I have been reading alot of slash/fanfic stuff, because I am broke and don't have any m/m sitting on my bookshelf. I have tons of PNR, but I can't seem to get off the m/m track, so I've just been reading lots of free stories. But, I may just have to save my pennies and splurge on a good series here soon.
If you guys have not read the Deviations series I highly recommend it. It's BDSM but it's really so much more about the relationships and the psychological aspects of being a dom or sub. The scene's are hot and there is whipping, bondage, etc...but it's all done in such a way that it's never cringe worthy. I did nothing but read these books last weekend. I mean NOTHING. Such a rare treat for me while our ski team is on a short break. Currently reading the Velvet Glove series and I'm becoming just as addicted. So good!

Way to go Lauren! Sounds like a great book. You'll have to let us know what you think.
JenMcJ wrote: "You know there are short "fling" stories for each of the couples."
Oh, I read those too! Believe me. :) Well, actually I haven't read Johnnie/Tyler or Brent/Hell yet. Maybe I'll download those today...
But that's what I'm hoping Jet will continue to do, just drop us little bones here and there, ya know? Little fixes for those of us she's addicted.

You know there are short "fling" stories for each of the couples.
I just finished my Heaven Sent re-read. I went in a really screwy order: Purgatory, Genesis, Faith, Hell and finished up with Heaven.
As much other m/m as I read, no one really comes close to Jet. Seems like Revelations will be the last Heaven Sent book, but I can't help hoping she'll continue to keep us updated on the lives of the Heaven Sent boys. They're just too yummy to let go. I hope they'll be making appearances in Gretchen's story.
