Thanks Mosca for doing that. She's an author I really enjoy and it will be great to have her photo/a more complete profile for her here at Goodreads.

I'll let another librarian add the photo as uploading photos here is not my area of expertise.

If you don't mind, forward me the email. There's a box for us to fill out telling why it's okay to use the picture, and it sounds like the email is just the thing to put in there.

Since I noticed the Goodreads has featured no photo for Mary Doria Russell, I wrote to the email address provided by her website.

I received an email response (from the author herself, I think) informing me that the photos page of her website:

were all downloadable and the photo credits were given. I personally like the one in the upper left hand corner.

My assumption from this message is that these photos are acceptable for use; but perhaps that a photo credit would be appreciated.

I could forward the reply to my email to a Goodreads Librarian if that is needed.
