Hi Phillipa, I'm following you now :)I like the idea of your interactive ebook, I'll twitter the link for you. Wishing you success,
Maria
Thanks, Dee. It'll be hard to write based on what others want/say, but it will be an adventure!
Phillipa
Hey PD it is greta to meet you, and welcome to our group. I am adding you to our group's Twitter listing and also following you.
Love the concept of your ebook. What a "novel" idea :]

Thanks, Stuart. I'm following you now too.
I've also just launched a interactive ebook where each week people vote for how they want the next chapter to turn out. Majority rules and then I write it! I'm hoping Twitter will help me spread the word.
You can get more info at www.pdmdartin.com.au/ebook
Thanks,
Phillipa

Hi,
Can you please add me to the list. I'm on twitter at http://twitter.com/pdmartin1 and I've also just launched a new interactive ebook where readers vote for what happens chapter by chapter. All authors who tweet, please re-tweet the concept and link (below)! As far as I know this is a world first and I want to get as many readers involved as possible.
Coming Home: www.pdmartin.com.au/ebook
I'm about to start following everyone on this list too.
Thanks,
Phillipa
That's great, thanks. I can certainly understand having too much on your plate. (That wasn't intended to be a turkey-day pun)

Anna, I've been terribly negligent about contributing to this group. I simply joined too many groups to manage them well, so I've cut a few to stay more in touch with the ones that matter most to me. Anyhow, I'll follow you on Twitter, and anyone else who asks. Heading over there right now...

Hi Alice,
I'm not sure how I missed your name before, but I just added you to our group's twitter listing and have also started to follow your tweets :]
Wishing everyone a most wonderful Turkey Day :]
Thanks for following me, Alice. I just followed you back. It's great to have such wonderful friends.
As to Twitter and book sales...over the past five months (due to a massive renovation of my house {no roof for a month}, my home office in shambles {still}...and now doing NaNoWriMo) promoting my novel has been non-existent, with the exception of jumping on to Twitter every chance I can.
Thanks to my Twittering, I just received the largest royalty check since my book was published.
I love Twitter :]

Welcome Elaine, to the 'Twitter Capital' on Goodreads. I posted a helpful link for writers who tweet--message 802 at the top of this page, you might like to check it out. :)I am followig you.
Stuart aka http://twitter.com/writer99
Elaine, what I do on Twitter is post a simple advertisement or a variety of advertisements. Something like, "I'd like to introduce you to ..." or "Check out my book [give a link:]" and say why someone would like to go there. I mention reviews whenever I get a new one and give a link to Amazon where it can be bought. I know of 2 books I've sold in that way. One of them was in answer to someone who said "I'm bored, can anyone suggest a good book to read." feeling extremely self-conscious, I suggested my own. They bought it.

I am on Twitter as http://twitter.com/ElaineChaika but I need some help with how to use it effectively to promote my books (2 nonfiction on Amazon now) and will especially need to get people to tag my upcoming novel. That will be out this Spring and is written under the name Harrie Rose, Therapy:A Novel. It's about a patient who turns the table on a domineering shrink who tries to control her life and is written in 1st person conversational style. Since part of my academic expertise is discourse, the rhythm and flow are very real. Anyway, can you give me some suggestions? I will start following you on Twitter right away if I can figure out how. I use twitter on my iPhone.

I am on Twitter, but don't know how to use it to promote my books. Do I just say "read...." That doesn't seem compelling. BTW, when my novel comes out in about 3 months, I'll need taggers. I'll tag your books if you tag mine. I have two nonfiction books on Amazon now. Youu can tag without reading or buying.

Twitter has definitely created awareness about what I do. Does this translate into book sales? Not yet. However, it has landed me some review work and a few solid working relationships.
