Tom | 3758 comments Check out PURPLE NOON and THE LEOPARD -- he's terrific in both. PURPLE NOON is a swift little poisonous thriller, THE LEOPARD is a vast sprawling historic family saga. Tasty delights, both of them, available in gorgeous DVD/BluRays from the Criterion Collection.

Steve | 957 comments I also like Le Samourai a lot. Very cool late 60s crime film. Delon is the main character.

Phillip | 8463 comments agree with tom. along with steve's suggestion the films he made with jean-pierre melville are also great. in addition to LE SAMOURAI, i would include LE CERCLE ROUGE. and, if you're not familiar with antonioni, check him out in L'ECLISSE ... yow.

George | 951 comments I remember 2 films I saw at the time they were released, a somewhat embarrassing Texas Across the River, with Dean Martin and Joey Bishop as his Indian sidekick with Alain Delon as a Spanish nobleman on the loose. he was quite good, Dean and Joey, well...

then a much more enjoyable period crime flick from the 30s, Borsolino and Company that I saw in Morocco while living there in the mid 70s. Liked it a lot.
