Glad you enjoyed it, Don. Eddie is currently reading Cussler's _Serpent_. He says it's a good story but gets a little "draggy" in parts because of too much detail.

Atlantis Found was a good read. I could say it is typical Clive Cussler but that really is misleading because the only thing typical about Cussler's books is that the hero always comes out on top.

He writes great adventure stories. This was another.

The Goodreads summary mentions the "battered remains of the sunken Italian luxury liner Andrea Doria". So at least Ed would have something to relate to. Joy, I haven't read any of Cussler's books (though I think I have one buried somewhere in my stacks of yet- unread books :-)) but I can answer your question about movies. At least one of the Dirk Pitt novels, Sahara, has been adapted as a movie, and the film version is quite good, IMO. Matthew McConaghy (spelling?) plays Pitt.

Clive Cussler is a scuba diver and has been visiting shipwrecks his whole life. His NUMA Files series of novels are underwater books but most of the Dirk Pitt novels also involve water scenes in the story lines as well.
