Welcome to the group Elizabeth, I am following:-)Hope Twitter sorts out the mess Jo Anne, and you are back 'tweeting' soon.
Ciao, Stuart aka http://twitter.com/writer99
Jo-Anne Sorry to hear that you are still having problems with your account.
Elizabeth I have added you to our group's Twitter listing.

I definitely Twitter... from time to time. I trying to be more active with it these days. I tend to steer more toward Facebook, but I'm trying. LOL.

Welcome to our group of 'super tweeps', great to have you with us....I am following. ;o)Stuart aka http://twitter.com/writer99
How many of you have discovered http://twitter.grader.com ?I think it is interesting. Since I started trying to persuade people to vote for me in a contest that ends today, my ranking has dropped from 98.7% to 98%
Which is worth knowing.

Rowena,
Could you please repeat the twitter grader address? Clicking on it only gets me "website not found."
Thanks!
EB
Rowena wrote: "How many of you have discovered http://twitter.grader.com ?"Sweet! My grade is 93. :o)
Elizabeth,The link even works in your own quote of my link. Maybe your ISP was having trouble yesterday?
Rowena
I twitter at http://twitter.com/diannegssagan. It is quick and easy even though I don't do it everyday.
Dee,I think I left my middle initial out ...
http://twitter.com/diannegsagan

Thanks,
Dianne

Pamela, that's great about your book and I look forward to following you. I'll look for you on page 73 of the other book with women who are getting on with their lives. thanks.
Hey Dianne,
Thanks for the update to your Twitter URL. I will add it ASAP to our group's Twitter listing :]
Hey Rowena,
Thanks for posting the link to the Twitter Grader :]
http://twitter.grader.com
I usually check it at least once a week. I am now up to 95% (which is not bad, since I have been offline most of the summer due to major construction on my house).
Oh, and if you ever want a quick way to find out if you are following someone and they are not following you, here is a great site:
http://friendorfollow.com
Hey, Dee,Would ditching most of the people who don't follow me back (like libraries and newsreaders) improve my grade?
Best,
Rowena
Hey Rownea,
I have no idea if that would help or not. If your rating is 98%, I would think you are doing the right things already :]
Unfortunately, there are some people/groups on Twitter that just gather as many followers as possible...THEN, when you follow back, they un-follow you. I always un-follow those.
I also block anyone that is from a questionable site (as in there one and only post is “Tweet me for a good time” Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww! )
I also clear out my listings on a weekly basis. If I have followed someone for over a week (and know that they have been Twitter) and they are not following back, I usually un-follow.
But, I tend to be an organizer, and am constantly tweaking everything to see what works the best :]
Question 1.
How do "you" use Twitter to promote your books?
Question 2.
Do you think Twitter has garnered new readers and sales or do you feel it it is just another distraction from writing?
I Twitter, but I hear it kills brain cells. The sacrifices we make for art =)Here's my account: http://twitter.com/JennKnox
I'll go find ya'll now...
Jen
Welcome to the Twitter madness thread Jen & Bryl.
I have added you both to our group's Twitter listing, and am on my way to add you to my personal Twitter page.
Oh, and damn, I was wondering why all my brain cells felt like they were not firing of late...too many early morning Tweets...thanks for the info Jen :]

Stuart aka http://twitter.com/writer99
Dee, I just used that grader to find out my grade. It's 94 %. I wish I'd got that in my maths exam at school... seems I'm doing better at Twitter.Has anyone noticed their 'following' number changing when they haven't added/subtracted anyone? Mine is going up and down like a yo-yo and I have not touched a thing.

Friend or Follow is my favorite site: It allows you to manage your Twitter account by:
1. See who is following you that "you" are not following.
2. See who isn't following you that you "are" following
3. And lists everyone that you are following in one page.

Just a word of caution...everyone has just found this site...so if you get 0 numbers on all of your searches, try again later. It just means the site is over-loaded.
