Although several of my friends are avid Twitters, I have been reluctant to joined.

So, yesterday I broke down and wrote my first Twit. I must say it was both fun and easy. Plus took far less time than I had expected, as twits can only be short snippets.

So it reads...other wise it picks up the period on the end of the URL and comes up as an error.

How did the signing go Johanna?

It was for a special group of people who all have mental disabilities. They got a discount on the cost of the book. They totally ignored my table set up like they were scared of it but they bought books. I will be going back to Raleigh in May for the North Carolina Mental Health Consumer' Organization convention where I will do a book sighning. I am one of them so they support me.

I have only been tweeting for a couple of weeks, and have made some excellent contacts.

The best part of Twitter. It is not a huge time consumer. Let's face it, blogs can, well, blog you down. On Twitter, you can only Tweet 140 characters at a time.

It is a fun and quick way to keep up with your favorite people (be they authors, friends, artists, etc.).

Bottom line: Twitter is what you make it!
