Last night I finished Twilight (finally I've read it!!:>) and this morning I finished The Sea of Monsters, which was another good addition to the Percy series, I thought.I'm not embarking on Eldest and am so curious to see how the story progresses!
Also (how perfect speaking of audio books and Jim Dale) just started listening to Dale's Around the World in Eighty Days! It's fantastic so far - and I'm growing increasingly curious to listen to his Harry Potter!! I LOVE the books and was a little hesitant to put my beloved stories in the hands of an unknown voice... but so far he's great in 80 Days, and I keep hearing amazing things about his Potter ones, so maybe someday!:D
I listened to the Harry Potters on Audiobook. They are Great! They are read by Jim Dale and he is phenominal. He even won awards and made the guiness book of world records for how many voices he did in book five. I would recommend them to anyone who likes the Harry Potter series.
I started listening to audio books while I was painting my room, and liked them so much I now listen in my car. The narrator on Brisingr was so excellent (Gerard Doyle) that I searched out other audio books by him at my local library (do a catalog search with his name as author, and several titles will come up). I listened to The Looking Glass Wars (also excellent). Now I'm starting The Faerie Wars. Mr. Doyle reads a lot of YA because he's so good at theatrical reading, which is applicable in fantasy-type books.
I read so far The Nanny Diaries and Two-way Street. Next, are Just Listen and The Truth about Forever by Dessen, and Bloom by Elizabeth Scott.
I just finished Wake last week, and I was able to roll right into Fade, Woohoo! Now I have the long wait for the 3rd one.
This is what I've got planned (who knows what I'll get accomplished, though):*A Light in the Attic
*Daisy Miller
*Ella Enchanted
*The Call of the Wild
*The Poor Mouth: A Bad Story About the Hard Life
*Revenge of the Spellmans
*Bridget Jones's Diary
*I Capture the Castle
*Ella Minnow Pea
*The Westing Game
*The Bell Jar
Chocolat
Notes From a Small Island
Enchanted, Inc.
* = done
