155. Empress by Karen Miller156. The Riven Kingdom by Karen Miller
157. Hammer of God by Karen Miller
158. The Prodigal Mage by Karen Miller
159. Wake by Robert J. Sawyer
That last was a lot of book. Not a lot of books, but just a lot of book, since those Godspeaker trilogy books were each over 700 pages in paperback. (800+ for the last one). Worth it, though, since I've decided that I like the stories that Karen Miller tells. ^_^
Oh, and even though I don't really read all that much science fiction nowadays (not compared to the amount of fantasy I read), I highly enjoyed WWW: Wake. I practically live on the Internet, so the idea that part of it was coming to life was quite interesting.
In the near future: working on something new for me, then back to the Discworld for a bit, and then more childhood flashbacks with some more Tamora Pierce. ^_^ And a long overdue revisit to Amber.

Those make it seem a much better idea to make more time for reading.
I take my hat off: you have tripled your challenge!!!! that's like a book every other day!!! amazing!!!... and I was so proud of myself for doing one book a week, I still am, though!! ;o)
147. Alanna The First Adventure by Tamora Pierce (re-read)148. In the Hand of the Goddess by Tamora Pierce (re-read)
149. The Woman Who Rides Like a Man by Tamora Pierce (re-read)
150. Lioness Rampant by Tamora Pierce (re-read)
151. The Giver by Lois Lowry (re-read)
152. Gathering Blue by Lois Lowry
153. Messenger by Lois Lowry
154. Cape Storm by Rachel Caine
Well, I made my latest goal of 150. Not sure if I'm gonna shoot for 200. Probably not, since that's a lot of books in less than a month and a half. ^_^ But I'm not going to stop reading.
I loved the re-read of the Song of the Lioness. Those were absolute favorites back when I was little, and going back to them now just felt nice. It's been ages since I last read those, though I think it was even longer since I had last read The Giver. (It's actually thanks to someone on a podcast reading it for the first time that I went back to that one.)
I'm on some much longer books now (Godspeaker trilogy by Karen Miller), so I'm probably not going to go quite so quickly for a bit. ^_^;;

It's a great series.
I know what you mean, Leighann...I think "I haven't read that series in awhile (even though it's 20 books long, or so) so I think I'll give it a read. So then I have to go back through my books and arrange them in order because I've forgotten and can't find the list I made up way back when. The publisher's dates help a bit, but one of my favorite series (The Cat Who...by Lillian Jackson Braun) has all been reprinted in 1986, and some of the books in that series I know were first printed in the mid 60's. The author took 15 years off and resumed the series with a slightly different setting. The paperbacks don't all have publisher's dates or a 'other books by this author' page. I will have to check out the 'Discworld' series. I wonder if it is similar to the 'Ringworld' series by Larry Niven? I guess I will have to see for myself.
142. Wyrd Sisters by Terry Pratchett (re-read)143. Pyramids by Terry Pratchett (should be re-read, but I honestly don't remember this one)
144. Guards! Guards! by Terry Pratchett (again, should be re-read)
145. Eric by Terry Pratchett (maybe re-read?)
146. Moving Pictures by Terry Pratchett (re-read)
...So as I'm getting further into my latest visit to the Discworld series, I'm starting to think I might have missed several books way back when. Because I honestly don't remember even the basic premise of some of them, but then I find others later in the series that I do remember. Of course, I also don't remember where I left off... ^_^;;
But now for a bit of a break in the Discworld books as I revisit some other favorites from my past.
138. Witches Incorporated by K.E. Mills139. Mort by Terry Pratchett (re-read)
140. Sourcery by Terry Pratchett (re-read)
141. The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood
135. The Tombs of Atuan by Ursula K. Le Guin136. Cold Sleep by Narise Konohara (sort of re-read)
137. Equal Rites by Terry Pratchett (re-read)
When I say "sort of re-read" on Cold Sleep... There's an English translation, and I've read that version twice, I think. This time I read the original Japanese, so it's only sort of a re-read. ^_^_v
132. The Light Fantastic by Terry Pratchett133. A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin
134. The Accidental Sorcerer by K.E. Mills
130. Those Who Hunt the Night by Barbara Hambly131. The Color of Magic by Terry Pratchett
It's been a long time since I last read any of the Discworld books, so yay! There will be more to come, though I have other books to read as well.
126. Bitten to Death by Jennifer Rardin127. One More Bite by Jennifer Rardin
128. Darkborn by Alison Sinclair
I keep forgetting to update. ^_^ Been reading much less lately, but still reading. Anyway...119. The Quartered Sea by Tanya Huff
120. Bone Dance A Fantasy for Technophiles by Emma Bull
121. Micah by Laurell K. Hamilton
122. The Forever War by Joe Haldeman
123. Another One Bites the Dust by Jennifer Rardin
124. Biting the Bullet by Jennifer Rardin
125. Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson
And I believe I just hit my latest goal, so I'll up it to 150 now. Or maybe just "as many as I can do without making myself lose interest"... ^_^;
111. Once Bitten, Twice Shy by Jennifer Rardin112. The Smoke Thief by Shana Abé
113. The Dream Thief by Shana Abé
114. Queen of Dragons by Shana Abé
115. The Treasure Keeper by Shana Abé
116. Incubus Dreams by Laurell K. Hamilton
117. Fifth Quarter by Tanya Huff
118. No Quarter by Tanya Huff
101. Sing the Four Quarters by Tanya Huff102. Heat Stroke by Rachel Caine
103. The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury
104. The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
105. Chill Factor by Rachel Caine
106. Windfall by Rachel Caine
107. Firestorm by Rachel Caine
108. Thin Air by Rachel Caine
109. Gale Force by Rachel Caine
110. Undone by Rachel Caine
Okay, so I said I wouldn't be reading as much... and apparently I was lying. Turns out I took too many books out at the library at once, and now I'm trying to get them read before they all come due. (Already renewed a bunch. Would rather not renew too many more.) So I've been averaging over a book a day. ^_^
99. Sorceress of Darshiva by David Eddings (audiobook, re-read)and 100!! Wings of Wrath by C.S. Friedman
Wow... 100 books. And it's not even August yet. I probably won't be reading quite as much once the new semester starts (hopefully won't, since the huge amount of reading over the summer has been partially due to a lack of doing much of anything else ^_^; )... so the new goal will be 125.
91. The Warlock Unlocked by Christopher Stasheff (re-read)92. The Warlock Enraged by Christopher Stasheff (re-read)
93. The Warlock Wandering by Christopher Stasheff (re-read)
94. Cerulean Sins by Laurell K. Hamilton (I don't think this was a re-read... but not sure.)
95. The Warlock Is Missing by Christopher Stasheff (re-read)
96. The Warlock Heretical by Christopher Stasheff (re-read)
97. The Warlock's Companion by Christopher Stasheff (re-read)
98. The Warlock Insane by Christopher Stasheff (re-read)
And I am now done with Warlock books for a while, until I manage to hunt down the next one. (They don't have it in my local library system.)
83. The Mystery of Grace by Charles de Lint84. Escape Velocity by Christopher Stasheff (re-read)
85. The Warlock in Spite of Himself by Christopher Stasheff (re-read)
86. Blue Moon by Laurell K. Hamilton (re-read)
87. King Kobold Revived by Christopher Stasheff (re-read)
88. Obsidian Butterfly by Laurell K. Hamilton (re-read)
89. Narcissus in Chains by Laurell K. Hamilton (re-read)
90. Demon Lord of Karanda by David Eddings (re-read, audiobook)
...Lots of re-reads, but it's been forever since I read the Warlock books (at least 10 years), and I think I'm getting close to the end of the books I've already read of the Anita Blake series. (I personally don't mind the... erotic turn that series took. ^_^)
78. Good Omens The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman79. The Killing Dance by Laurell K. Hamilton
80. Ill Wind by Rachel Caine
81. Norse Code by Greg Van Eekhout
82. Burnt Offerings (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #7) by Laurell K. Hamilton
Oh, and I appear to have forgotten to include this one. This should have been #66. ^_^77. Santa Olivia by Jacqueline Carey
73. The Lunatic Cafe (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #4) by Laurell K. Hamilton74. Bloody Bones (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #5) by Laurell K. Hamilton
75. Feast of Souls by C.S. Friedman
76. The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin
66. The Fire Rose by Mercedes Lackey (re-read)67. The Serpent's Shadow by Mercedes Lackey
68. The Gates of Sleep by Mercedes Lackey
69. Phoenix and Ashes by Mercedes Lackey
70. King of the Murgos by David Eddings (as an audiobook)
71. The Wizard of London by Mercedes Lackey
72. Reserved for the Cat by Mercedes Lackey
It's been a while since I updated this, but that doesn't mean I haven't been reading.
61. Psion by Joan D. Vinge62. Catspaw by Joan D. Vinge
63. Dreamfall by Joan D. Vinge
Re-reads all around, though I think Dreamfall was fairly new back when I first (and last) read them (and it came out in '96). Loved them back then, still love them now. Come to think of it, psion-themed stories are one of the few sci-fi types that I like just as much as most fantasy. ^_^
56. Swordspoint A Melodrama of Manners by Ellen Kushner57. The Fall of The Kings by Ellen Kushner (and Delia Sherman)
58. The Privilege of the Sword by Ellen Kushner
59. Faeries of Dreamdark Blackbringer by Laini Taylor
Mary Todd wrote: "Your welcome and I think you are right. Will it make a difference if I never use the same ticker twice?"That should work. You'd probably be safe posting the same ticker more than once too (for multiple people at the same number), as long as you don't update the count.
Your welcome and I think you are right. Will it make a difference if I never use the same ticker twice?
54. God of Clocks by Alan Campbelland 55. Thomas the Rhymer by Ellen Kushner
I grabbed all the books by Ellen Kushner they had on the shelf in the sci-fi section of the library, so now for some more by her. Next on the list is Swordspoint, which I vaguely remember reading once before, but I don't really remember anything about it (other than the fact that I enjoyed it).
Mary Todd wrote: "I tried to fix your ticker...I don't know how this happens!"I wonder... Are you going back/in again and changing the counts on the same ticker? Because it looks like these tickers are designed to be posted somewhere once, and then the image on the ticker updates as you go into the ticker configuration and update the counts. So a specific ticker will always read whatever the latest count given to it was, not the count it was given when you posted it. If that makes any sense. ^_^;
And thanks (even though the ticker is acting up)! ^_^
52. Scar Night by Alan Campbelland 53. Iron Angel also by Alan Campbell
...This series of books both intrigues and horrifies me. Well, the horrifying is mostly from the second and third parts of Iron Angel, when stuff shifted to this world's hell. *shudders* But it's interesting, and I'm moving on to the third book, which looks like it might finish up the story (based on the book flap stuff).
50!! Blood Groove by Alex Bledsoe ^_^_vI did the vampire book. It was a pretty fast read, though it wasn't quite the sort of vampire book I prefer.
I made it. And since the year's not even half over, I think I'm upping my goal to 100 now. ^_^ Just because I think I might actually make that too.
48. Dragon and Phoenix by Joanne BertinI don't think I read this one before... I think I would have remembered the use of thee where it should have been thou (pet peeve ^_^; )...which is much more prevalent in this one than it was in The Last Dragonlord. But enjoyable despite that. ^_^
49. Destiny Kills by Keri Arthur
Something about this book bugged me, but I'm not sure what... I think it might have been the fact that it's a little more romance (as in the genre, not just love stories in general) than I generally prefer. But I didn't dislike it either...
And so... one more book to go! I think I'll make it a vampire book. Or maybe I'll go sci-fi (psions, specifically) instead.
47. The Last Dragonlord by Joanne Bertin (re-read)Shall we see if I hit 50 this week? ^_^ ...I probably should do something besides read, since my last semester of school (hopefully forever this time ^_^; ) starts tomorrow. But fiction is so much more interesting than textbooks about databases and such...
44. Corambis by Sarah MonetteAnd I do believe I just read that entire four book series (at about 420 pages a book) in under a week. Yeah, I liked it. ^_^ This final book really differed from the first three books, but I think it was a fitting end to the story. I am officially satisfied with the way things turned out, and that's always a nice feeling to have upon finishing a series.
43. The Mirador by Sarah MonetteSo this one dragged a little more than the first two did, but still thoroughly enjoyable. I still love the characters (even Felix, despite the fact that he was an absolute prick in this book). I love the setting. I just think it took a while to really pick up speed. (And even so, I still enjoyed it enough to give 5 stars... ^_^; )
Now on to the next one. ^_^
42. The Virtu by Sarah Monette (re-read)^_^ This book went really fast... under a day. And now moving on to the part of the series that I haven't read yet. ^_^
37. An Unexpected Apprentice by Jody Lynn Nye38. Snake Agent A Detective Inspector Chen Novel by Liz Williams (probably not gonna continue with this series in the future... just didn't do it for me ^_^)
39. Unclean Spirits Book One of the Black Sun's Daughter by M.L.N. Hanover
36. ReVamped by J.F. LewisThink I'm going to take a bit of a break from the vampires and urban fantasy for a little bit. I know I have a medieval-ish fantasy (with halflings, I think...) in my stack o' library books, so I think I'll go for that one. ^_^ But the rest of my stack o' library books is urban fantasy, if I remember correctly...
That said, I do love the vampires, especially when they're the type who don't sparkle. (Nothing major against Twilight... just my own preferences.)
34. Very Bad Deaths by Spider RobinsonIt's been several years since I read anything by Spider Robinson, and I found that I missed the experience. This book was a fast read for me (started it in the middle of the afternoon and was done by 11 pm), and I've come to the conclusion that it was more the way the story was told (particularly the main character/narrator and his general attitude toward everything) than the story itself that drew me in. ^_^
33. Hidden Warrior by Lynn Flewelling (re-read)And now on to something that I haven't read before... while I attempt to track down a copy of Oracle's Queen. ^_^;
