I received my copy last week and did something I rarely do, read it in 2 days and then wrote the author. The suggestions for plotting and character development are really first rate. Since it's written from an editor/agent pov, it's a must read for any aspiring author.
I found it simple, straightforward and very easy to grasp. After reading, I went back the next day and highlighted the concepts that I wanted to keep in mind during NANOWRIMO. I think that this book would be helpful to anyone writing popular fiction today, not just mid-grade and young adult. I'm happy to give this one a resounding "thumbs up!"
