I was just re-reading portrait today, and I loved her when she knocked out Maggie. But I think even better was Roarke's reaction lol. When he just said, You punched Maggie? And then of course Eve realizes he slept with her in the past and she gets annoyed with him. But his reaction was even better than her punching that biatch out.

Boy, I love that part of the book. Both of them - the horror and going through the birthing class - too funny!!
I have to say my most recent favorite was in Promises in Death where Eve gets her new car. I just love her reaction: "HOT DAMN!" And then she's doing donuts in the drive way (by the way I sooooo want that house!).
Another favorite is a tear-jerker, Survivor in Death: It's when Nixie goes to the morgue and sees her family....TALK ABOUT TEARS! I cried for a good five minutes before I could continue reading!
Now I have to run out and get "Portrait"! I also loved when Eve slugged Maggie. Also like the scene in Judgement I. D. when Roarke finds Webster and Eve together and his hot-headed reaction.I like it that they make those verbal committments, not just physical.

Shannon you are so right, there are so many special scenes that come to mind and I guess that is why they are such great books.
I love all the scenes that you guys chose but I have two that stick in my mind. When Eve and Peabody are on the stakeout for Imitation in Death and Eve calls Peabody Detective. That scene through to the end when Eve is in her dress uniform for Peabody's promotion. The way she makes Peabody feel so special was very moving. The other scene comes to mind is when McNab get's feeling back in his legs and enters the room with the walking stick and the feelings that Eve has on seeing that he is back to walking were amazing. I was just rereading Divided in Death and she was watching her crew in her home office and realizing how much she needed all of them. There are so many scenes but those two are my favorites.

I know, I'd checked out the audio book again last week and was sitting here at work and had to wipe my eyes.
I'd have to say my favorite scene is in Potrait, when Roake was at his family's farm and he was wishing that Eve had come with him and then she arrives. so totally awesome.
****SPOILERS****
One of my favorites scenes is Mavis in labour, the sheer panic of Eve and Roarke is too funny. Roarke is usually in control and to see him so stressed because of a baby made me laugh for ages!
Hi all! That's a tough one! But for today my fave scene would have to be the part when Roarke's aunt Sinead is talking to Eve in Portrait. She's telling Eve that the memory she appreciated most about her nephew was "the change in his expression, on the whole of him when he saw that it was you. The love was naked in him then" or something like that. It's just soooo sweet.
