I too hope Pillars get to be chosen... after all I'm the proud one who nominated the book... but if it doesn't made it... well have to read it anyway... ^_^
I hope Pillars... get chosen - I'm not sure if I will get it read unless I read it along with someone else...
I just checked and see i have read Pillers and Handmaids too. I hope one I haven't read gets in. I want to get in on a discussion here. Of course i just started reading White Tiger today...*blush*

Post#1 said 2/24/09 ends nominaitons and the poll will be from 2/25/09 to 2/28/09, so a couple more days to go. Hope this helps.
I'm assuming that were just giving nominations and Emilee will set up a poll shortly. I'm new and this is just a guess!
That's my plan, actually. I haven't read much Updike and to my understanding, these are good books so I will tackle them at some point.I like the idea of them so I will definitely give it a go.
Have you read them, Richard?
I also plan on reading all of Philip Roth's Zuckerman books at some point...
I have Rabbit Run home from the library so regardless if it gets picked our not I will probably read it soon and then go from there on the rest if I like it. If it doesn't get picked maybe we can have a thread on here about it anyway?
Uh, Emily, Rabbit, Run is also a book that I've been wanting to read for a long time. So like that suggestion as well - but I don't own it (yet), so I think I will stick to The Pillars of the Earth... Maybe for a later month! ;-)
I just read the reviews for "An American Tragedy" and it sounds like a good read, especially with our declining economy. It sounds like an interesting view of how our world works.Utopia sounds like a fun Scifi read as well.
I'm trying to get through all the unread books I have on my book shelf! So I nominate Rabbit, Runby John Updike
I can see that both Chantelle and jzhunagev already have nominated The Pillars of the Earth so I will just support that - otherwise, I don't think I'll ever get the book read!
