369169 Hi everyone.
Its such a short month and this really snuck up on me. (Thanks Fiona for calling it out!)

Lets get some nominations for the March Group Read.
Here are the rules:

There will be two catagories for the novels to be voted in. (1)Regular fiction/non fiction or (2) Novels written by an IRISH author, or set in IRELAND.

Please nominate one book per person.
YOU MUST HAVE:
title and author
the catagory you are nominating it in

If your post does not have title, author or catagory, it will not be accepted.

It is not necessary to second or third someones nomination. If it is nominated, it will be placed in the voting polls.

I will leave the nomination thread open for 3 days. So we have until Thursday night to get our noms in.

Then, I will create two seperate polls in which we can place our votes.

Lori, I think it is great your choice to take an Irish author too!!!!!! I hope that gives a lot of new ideas and books that I don't know about yet as I am planning to also read many books by people written fromt he country I came to live in!

message 17: by Lori, Super Mod (new)

369169 Oohhh... Flann Obrien... I have a hardcover that contains his complete works. Even if that doesnt make it as a group read, i plan on reading it myself!

611251 No we have not! I've never nominated it!

I think.

message 24: by Fiona (new)

1356469 *eyes Emma*

message 25: by (G)Emma (new)

611251 I know we've never read it, as a book club.

But I might've nominated it one time.

ONCE.

message 26: by Emilee (new)

934927 Lots of great nominations! Lots of books I want to read!

message 27: by Fiona (new)

1356469 But tis in the Group Read discussion folder? Unless it wasn't an official group read.

Ms Pusher. Although if it did come up again I'd have to read it. ;)

message 28: by (G)Emma (new)

611251 Ahh!

That was before we had the folder to discuss books that aren't group reads.

I'll fix that, thanks.

message 29: by Fiona (new)

1356469 Ahhh, I seeeee. I shall stop eyeing you now.

message 30: by (G)Emma (new)

611251 Good!

I couldn't help myself, Libba's birthday is in March!

message 31: by Fiona (new)

1356469 I see I shall have to campaign extra hard for Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones.

message 32: by Kandice (new)

1396160 There must be some Irish references or Irish in Wynne's background you could use for campaiging purposes. Is there a green covered version? You can think of something.

message 33: by Fiona (new)

1356469 Well, I think she's originally from Wales.
