Nophoto-m-25x33 Ummm...

Would it be rude to put myself forward? I'm Australian too.

My book, The Fall of Ossard, is available on Amazon.com now, and gets a national release in Australia next month.

You could also add Bevan McGuiness who's also in WA to the list.

1166414 Those new names have now been added. Magic or Madness by Justine Larbalestier won the 2006 Andre Norton Award for best Young Adult Science Fiction or Fantasy. Justine is married to author Scott Westerfeld.

Juliet Marillier was born in Dunedin, New Zealand and now lives in Perth, Western Australia.

Thanks for those names.

237469 I believe she is from New Zealand originally but now lives in Australia.

1937942 Isn't Juliet Marillier an Australian, too?

message 14: by Miriam (new)

237469 How about Justine Larbalestier? She is from Sydney and writes YA fantasy. I've only read Magic or Madness but it was pretty interesting.

763271 Margo Lanagan is a recent discovery for me. I came across a review of Tender Morsels by one of my GR friends and went to the library in search of the book. It wasn't available, so I picked up Black Juice, one of her short story collections. She writes for young adults in a very mature style that is suitable for older readers. Her stories are dark, unsettling and unforgettable.

695116 How about Christine Jones, a GR author? I'm pretty sure she's Australian. She has a couple of books out; Mariard Volume 1 The Gifting & Mariard Volume 2 Glass Pawns.
