This book won The Man Booker Prize in 2002. I decided to choose this book partially because it has been adapted into a movie. I watched a brief trailer pertaining to the movie and it seemed interesting. I wondered how the man and the tiger would fair in the middle of the ocean. Would the tiger eat Pi or would Pi die first? I wanted to pick a book that I would enjoy but also be able to dissect. I am a fan of plots revolving survival and my decision was pretty much made when I saw this book on the list.
